56 INSIDE ARCHERY APRIL 2026Love them or hate them, crossbows are here to stay and have become a big part of doing business in today’s archery world. More states each year are allowing crossbow use during regular archery seasons, making them hugely popular with rifle hunters wishing to take advantage of the increased hunting opportunity that comes through archery-only seasons, or those who are physically unable to draw a conventional bow. Performance has increased at a meteoric rate, now making increasingly longer shots possible with a higher degree of precision. For those obsessed with pure performance, regular upgrades become par for the course, while your budget-minded customers are likely to purchase something affordable and stick with it until the wheels fall off. To follow are crossbow models targeted at both of those groups, from the fastest, technology-packed flagship models to the most affordable in the business.Flagship CrossbowsEXCALIBUR CROSSBOWS ● The Hybrid X is a departure from past Excalibur designs, a completely new concept combining the company’s compression-molded limbs with a custom cam system and Charger X integrated crank.
