It is important to match customers with broadheads suited
to their equipment capabilities. My wife, for example, shoots

just 48 pounds with a short 25-inch draw length. So I obvi-

ously wouldn’t send her out with aggressive mechanical de-

signs requiring high kinetic energy to drive deep into game. Nor

would I recommend the same wide-cutting mechanicals for some-

one who has drawn an elk or moose tag, instead steering them to

streamlined cut-on-contact designs that ensure adequate penetra-

tion should they clip a shoulder blade or take a heavily-quartering

shot which requires pushing through lots of meat.
