70INSIDE THE INDUSTRY LEADING ARCHERY MANUFACTURERSINSIDE ARCHERY MARCH 2026ents deer require and how different forage sources influence their health.Over time, that dedication has helped the company gain recognition among hunters searching for high-quality attractants, minerals, and habitat products designed with both performance and deer health in mind.Product Categories Designed for Whitetail Success ■ One defining feature of Flawless Whitetail is its focus on multiple aspects of deer management. Instead of concentrating on a single niche, the company develops products across three primary categories:■ Whitetail nutrition■ Attractants and scents■ Habitat and food plot developmentTogether, these categories allow hunters and land managers to improve deer herds throughout the year rather than focusing only on the hunting season.Whitetail Nutrition and Mineral Supplements■ Nutrition is a core foundation of the Flawless Whitetail product lineup. Proper mineral intake plays a significant role in herd health, body development, and antler growth, which is why the company emphasizes carefully balanced mineral blends. One example is the Trophy Tine Mineral line, designed to support antler development and overall deer health. Unlike many traditional mineral products that rely heavily on salt, Flawless Whitetail focuses on more nutritionally balanced formulas that provide nutrients important for bone growth and herd development.By limiting unnecessary fillers and focusing on functional ingredients, these mineral blends aim to supply nutrients that may be missing from a deer’s natural environment. Their philosophy is to produce supplements that contribute to herd health rather than simply serving as attractants.Attractants and Deer Scents ■ Flawless Whitetail also offers a range of attractants and scent-based tools designed to help hunters influence deer movement and ben today’s competitive hunting industry, new brands appear regularly, but only a few are built around a deeply personal mission. That is what separates Flawless Whitetail within the whitetail space. The company was founded on a commitment to innovation, transparency, and a genuine passion for improving the health and management of whitetail deer.At the center of that mission is founder Danyelle “Danii,” whose vision helped build the company from the ground up. Rather than launching another hunting brand driven primarily by marketing hype, Danii focused on creating products rooted in integrity and real-world results. Her approach was simple: focus on the science behind whitetail health while giving hunters and land managers tools they can trust in the field.According to the company, Flawless Whitetail was inspired by a desire to bring authenticity back to the hunting industry. The brand emphasizes healthy whitetail nutrition, stronger gut and immune health, and improved habitat development practices for hunters and landowners. For Danii, the business is also deeply personal. The long-term goal behind Flawless Whitetail extends beyond selling products. It is about building a lasting legacy for her family and children while promoting responsible hunting and healthier wildlife.Hands-on experience also plays an important role in the company’s approach. The team raises whitetails themselves, allowing them to directly observe nutrition, health, and behavior while testing products in real-world conditions. This experience provides valuable insight into the nutriIhavior, especially during key seasonal periods like the rut.For example, the company produces doe estrus scents collected during peak breeding season. These scents contain natural secretions that replicate the smell bucks search for during the rut, helping hunters create realistic scent setups in the field.Rutting buck scents are also gathered during peak rut activity to capture dominant territorial scent profiles. When applied to mock scrapes or scent drags, these scents can trigger curiosity and territorial responses from other bucks in the area.Rather than relying entirely on mass production methods, the company focuses on careful sourcing and refined formulations to maintain consistency and effectiveness, thus maintaining authenticity and quality control.Food Plot and Habitat Development ■ Habitat improvement is another central part of the Flawless Whitetail philosophy. Healthy deer populations are not built through attractants alone. They depend on quality forage, healthy soils, and balanced ecosystems.Selecting the right plant species is critical when building effective forage systems. For example, medium red clover is not a single uniform plant. Multiple varieties exist, each offering different traits such as drought tolerance, resistance to heavy grazing pressure, soil improvement capabilities, and weed suppression. This leads to blends designed for specific goals. Some help build soil micronutrients, others improve forage quality, and some create long-lasting food sources that perform year after year. The company also emphasizes limiting unnecessary chemical use in food plots. Herbicide residues can negatively affect the gut microbiome of deer, which plays a key role in maintaining the gut barrier, supporting immune health, and aiding nutrient absorption. When disrupted, the microbiome can reduce nutrient uptake and contribute to digestive inflammation.Because of this, Flawless Whitetail focuses on forage systems designed with long-term deer health in mind. The goal is not simply attracting deer to a plot, but providing forage that supports rumen health, strong immune systems, and sustainable nutrition.Products such as the Legacy Blend reflect this philosophy. This perennial food plot mix produces green forage in spring, conFlawless WhitetailBuilt on Passion: The Story Behind Flawless Whitetail
MARCH 2026 71 INSIDE ARCHERYtinues through summer and fall, and offers high-protein nutrition that supports healthy deer development. The company also offers habitat blends containing grasses such as switchgrass and big bluestem, which grow tall and dense to create bedding cover and security habitat that can help properties hold mature deer. What’s in the Bag: Quality Matters ■ In a market crowded with deer attractants and supplements, Flawless Whitetail works to stand apart through a focus on ingredient quality and functional formulations. The company avoids unnecessary fillers that do little to improve deer health or hunting success. Instead, ingredients are selected with specific biological goals in mind, whether that involves supporting antler growth, improving digestion, or enhancing deer attraction through scent and flavor. For mineral products, this often means maintaining lower salt levels while incorporating beneficial nutrients needed for bone development and overall herd health.Food plot products follow a similar philosophy. High-protein forage plants, perennial seed varieties, and habitat grasses are selected to create reliable food sources and cover that persist season after season.A Growing Presence in the Whitetail Industry ■As the whitetail hunting industry continues to evolve, hunters are increasingly seeking products that offer more than flashy marketing. Many want tools that are practical, tested, and rooted in real wildlife management. That demand has created opportunities for companies like Flawless Whitetail, which combines passion for the outdoors with a focus on science, nutrition, and habitat development.By offering products that support deer health, strengthen hunting strategies, and help landowners build better habitat, the company continues to expand its presence in the whitetail industry. For Danii and the team behind Flawless Whitetail, the mission remains simple: produce honest, effective tools that help hunters and wildlife thrive while maintaining a long-term commitment to the health of the whitetail herd.To learn more about Flawless Whitetail, visit them at flawlesswhitetail.com. This unique hybrid design blends the company’s original fixed-blade design with a new mechanical system. The three-edged, fixed-blade stainless steel tip is ¾-inch wide and sports an 8mm scoop that creates a 1-inch entry wound. Three .060-inch-thick, serrated mechanical blades open to 1 ¾ inches, adapting to 1 1/16 inches upon encountering heavy bone to prevent failure and keeps the head driving deep. “Force-Indexed Geometry” holds blades closed in flight sans O-rings, bands, clips or retention collars, allowing each mechanical blade to work independently. A locking collet in the titanium ferrule allows aligning mechanical blades with the cutting tip for deeper penetration, or between the tip’s three cutting edges. Standard-thread broadheads can also replace the provided tip to create a heavier broadhead. Single-bevel action creates nasty spiral wound channels, in both 100- and 125-grain options. 82 INSIDE ARCHERY MARCH 2026Five Questions with Carter EnterprisesINSIDE THE INDUSTRY INDUSTRY 5QFor more than three decades, Carter Enterprises has been a top name in archery release aids. Known for precision machining and innovative designs, the company creates releases that help archers shoot with greater consistency and accuracy. Inside Archery spoke with Jerry Carter, founder of Carter Enterprises, to learn more about the company’s history and the PPT Perfect Pull Tension Release.they can fine-tune the feel until it works best for their style of shooting. What key features of the PPT should dealers highlight when showing it to customers? ■ One of the biggest features is the angle of the jaw that holds the string or D-loop. The way the jaw is designed allows the string to sit in one position and one position only, which creates a very consistent shot. Even if the shooter’s hand angle changes slightly, the string stays in the same place, and that helps deliver the same shot every time.Another important feature is how easy it is to change the magnets in the release. The magnet system makes it simple to adjust the holding weight so shooters can fine-tune the release to match how they like it to feel. Dealers can show customers how quickly those adjustments can be made, which is a big advantage when someone wants to dial in their release for the most consistent performance possible. What types of shooters are the best fit for the PPT Perfect Pull Tension Release?■ The PPT is really designed for serious shooters. It’s a release that focuses on consistency, accuracy, and proper shot execution, so it’s best suited for archers who are committed to improving their shooting.Shooters who spend a lot of time practicing and working on their form will get the most out of a pull-tension style release like the PPT. Because it requires you to pull through the shot instead of relying on a trigger, it naturally encourages better shooting fundamentals. For archers who want the most consistent shot possible and are serious about their accuracy, the PPT is a great fit.Learn more at carterenterprises.comthat helps archers shoot more accurately. What was the goal behind developing the PPT Perfect Pull Tension Release? ■ The goal behind the PPT Perfect Pull Tension Release was to build the most consistent and accurate pull-tension release that has ever been made. Consistency is everything when it comes to accuracy, so I wanted a release that would perform exactly the same way every time you shoot it.One of the things that makes the PPT unique is that it uses magnets in the mechanism. No one else has ever done that in a release aid before. The magnets allow the release to maintain a very consistent feel and break from shot to shot while also giving shooters a simple way to fine-tune the holding weight. The whole idea behind the design was to remove as many variables as possible and give shooters a pull-tension release that performs the same way every single time. How does the PPT help shooters work on shot execution and reduce target panic? ■The PPT helps shooters work on their shot execution by focusing on pulling straight back through the shot instead of relying on a trigger to fire the release. With this style of release you’re not trying to time or punch a trigger. Instead, you simply keep pulling until the release fires. That creates a much more consistent shot and helps archers develop proper execution.Because the shot happens as a result of steady back tension, it can also help reduce target panic. When shooters aren’t concentrating on trying to make the shot happen with a trigger, they’re able to focus on their form and keep the shot process smooth. The PPT also allows shooters to adjust the poundage by changing the number of magnets in the release, so arter Enterprises has been producing release aids for decades. Can you share a brief history of the company and how it got started? ■ I started shooting a bow when I was a kid and fell in love with archery early on. After high school I worked as an automotive machinist, and that background in machining really helped later on when I started building release aids. Like a lot of archers back then, I wasn’t very happy with the releases that were available, so I began experimenting and building my own designs just to create something that worked the way I wanted it to.The company really started on New Year’s Eve in 1989. I went out to my shop and spent the entire night building a release aid completely from scratch. I used a drill and basic tools to cut every internal part by hand and assembled the whole thing myself. That release eventually became the “Wild Thing.” April and I showed it to Dee Wilde, who was an eight-time world champion at the time, and he immediately told us it was the best release he had seen and that we needed to start selling it. A couple of months later we took 25 of them to the Vegas Shoot and sold every one of them in the first hour just walking around the tournament. After that things really took off, and we just kept building releases with the goal of making something C
