Every aspect of my life is marked by change and
transformation as I continually strive to adapt to any
circumstances. These include my education, sports, family,
future, faith, and all the challenges that make me become the
best version of myself, and for others.
Back in March 2020, months before graduating, the
Covid-19 pandemic affected our learning experience. The
school, students, and teachers had to stay at home due to
lockdown, thus shifting to online classes. It was a
memorable experience despite the difficult situation
because it was a new environment for me. I felt challenged
and forced to think out of the box. Thankfully, with the help
of Domuschola International School, my passionate
teachers, and classmates, plus hard work, dedication, and
resilience, I was successful with the abrupt transition.
When I was about to enter the IB diploma program in 2018, I
had no idea what specific subjects to take. What was clear to
me was that I wanted a profession in the field of science and
technology because I wanted to contribute to the world of
sciences. Thus, this changed a lot of my lifestyle. I had to
find ways to strike a balance to excel in my studies and
sports and continue to be an inspiration to others.
These experiences demonstrated that I am indeed a beacon
of light to change all places that I go. I adapted and adjusted
to all the unforeseeable changes and transformed to be the
best for myself and others. Now that I am in college, I am well
prepared as I continue to become a better person. I believe
that these experiences, together with the IB learner profile,
are a great foundation to face our fast-changing world.
