adi Telecom To meet the growing demand
Re-brand To adi for digital products and
Digital As Their technologies we’re excited
Digital Services to announce that we’ve
rebranded our telecom
Evolve company.

The rebrand from adi Telecom to adi Digital comes at a time of rapid
growth for the business as it continues to add yet more capability to
its digital technology services and add new clients to its portfolio.

A systems integrator, adi Telecom was set up in 2014 to provide
voice, data and mobile telecommunications to customers
worldwide. Five years on and the Group felt the name needed to
better reflect the broad scope of digital technologies the firm now
specialises in.

Vic Brashko, adi Digital Managing Director, said of the project,
“This rebrand has been six months in the making and has been
implemented with immediate effect. The name Digital expands our
scope and shows we can service our customers with a wider range
of services.

Before now, customers may not have been fully aware of everything
we can do for them, so we have high hopes that the rebrand will
give our clients a greater insight into and a better understanding of
the full range of digital services we provide.”

So, what’s there to shout about with regard to the newly
rebranded adi Digital?

Well, three key services were recently added to the adi Digital
portfolio – out of home digital advertising, digital signage and digital
workforce solutions.

Digital signage is one of the new services that has really stirred
interest. The team has already installed signage for a wide range
of purposes, from employee and customer signage to large-scale
advertising billboards.

These new services add to an expanding portfolio that includes
cloud-hosted voices services, high-speed data networks and
mobile voice, data and text services that now integrate to create a
holistic digital offering for clients.

For more information on the new range of digital products
and services available from adi Digital please contact Vic
Brashko ([email protected]) or Stewart Darby (sdarby@

Protecting the
Public & Businesses
from Legionnaires’
Disease

adi Environmental is now equipped to
deliver specialist City & Guilds L8 Water
Treatment training that gives businesses
the knowledge and understanding they
need to mitigate the risks associated with
legionella.

The accredited legionella management training course covers HSE ACOP
L8 and HSG275 Parts 1, 2 and 3, the role and duties of a business’
responsible person and duty holder, compliance with the L8 Fourth edition
code of practice and HSG274 technical guidance.

Lynne Potter, Group Environmental Manager at adi Environmental,
explained the exposure companies now face.

“A legionella outbreak can really hit the headlines and damage your bottom
line and your brand’s reputation. A UK facilities Management business
were awarded a £1.8 million fine in 2016 for failing to appoint a responsible
person at a nursing home. So, a simple compliance issue can be very
costly.

Imagine a legionella outbreak killing people at a factory or workplace.
Changes to enforcement options mean those deaths could be classified as
corporate manslaughter. Fines which were traditionally used as enforcement
were reviewed in the light of the “Barrow in Furness outbreak” which means
there is now the possibility of custodial sentences. The consequences don’t
bear thinking about.

Too many companies labour under the misconception that engaging a
water treatment company insulates them from risk, when the buck really
stops with them.

But the good news is, with our course putting the right knowledge in the
hands of the right people, the public, workforces and business reputations
are safe.”

adi Waste Systems Expands
Senior Team

adi Waste Systems has expanded
its senior management team with
the appointment of Mark Burgess as
Business Development Director.

Mark will be responsible for developing the adi Waste Systems business
plan and helping the business penetrate the UK market with our unique
underground waste bins.
Capitalising on our involvement and success with the NW Cambridge
Development project, adi Waste Systems will be looking to secure
similar underground waste schemes on additional sites and locations
across the UK. He will also be working to develop key relationships with
local authorities, developers and architects to help position adi Waste
Systems as the go-to company and supplier of choice for underground
systems.
Mark said, “It is an exciting time for the waste management industry with
many companies and authorities looking at moving away from traditional
UK methods of managing waste and underground systems are leading
the way. I am looking forward to developing adi Waste Systems into
the marketplace with the NW Cambridge Development and our partner
Sotkon to popularise underground waste management as the waste
method of choice in the UK.”

adi Building & Refurbishment
Strengthens Senior Team

adi Building & Refurbishment has
strengthened its senior team with
the appointment of Adrian Adams
as Construction Director to further
strengthen the business’ senior team.

Adrian has 30 years’ experience, having built strong client and supply
chain relationships across the construction industry, and a successful
track record of delivering successful projects and maintaining excellent
client relationships.
In particular, he brings with him a wealth of expertise in delivering
national frameworks and special projects. His remit at adi is to head up
the Major Projects division, focusing on projects over £500,000 in value,
and to use his drive and enthusiasm to bolster the company’s growth.
Adrian himself said of his appointment, “I am delighted to join a firm
with such strong core values as adi and at an exciting stage in its
development. I see huge growth potential for the business and I am
looking forward to playing my part in helping it achieve its ambitions.”

adi Mechanical
Launches New
South Wales
Division

adi Mechanical has strengthened its
geographical footprint with the launch
of a brand new division covering the
South Wales area. The new division will
predominantly focus on servicing clients
across the South Wales region.

The concept behind the new division is to develop a pipeline of opportunities
within this particular geographical area and we feel now is the right time
to expand the geographical reach of adi Mechanical as part of its 2020
growth plans. The South Wales region has been identified as an area that
has numerous manufacturers that are well aligned to the core services of
adi Group and the objective behind setting up this new Division is to allow
us to better serve the area through a strategy of proximity support for these
potential clients.

The new division will be headed up by Andrew Lusty (Division Manager &
Alan Lusty’s Nephew) and Marc Pridmore (Contracts Manager) who officially
joined the adi Group team in Q4 of 2018. The new team will develop a
pipeline of opportunities for adi Mechanical in South Wales and will be
supported by our existing adi Mechanical workshops. Looking ahead to the
future in the mid-long term we hope to develop a significant manufacturing
footprint that sits in South Wales which will allow us to support this with local
manufacturing in a new adi workshop in the area.

Andrew and Mark bring with them a wealth of experience centred on
business development activities as well as the core fabrication skills that
will allow them to start trading under this new Division and be self-sufficient
from day one. In addition, both have in excess of twenty years’ experience
in steelwork and Mechanical fabrications and extensive knowledge of the
industry.

Why have we chosen Wales as the focal
point of the new division?

Wales has a rich heritage in heavy industry, engineering and manufacturing,
providing a vital foundation to help steer its economy in interesting and
innovative new directions. It has many synergies with adi Group’s service
offering, market sectors and client base. For instance, it is home to the likes
of Airbus, Aston Martin, BAE Systems, British Airways Engineering, Ford, GE
Aviation, Gestamp, IQE, JCB, Raytheon, Toyota and Zodiac Aerospace.

Our plans for South Wales are not just limited to adi Mechanical though.
Whilst the initial focus will be mechanical orientated, our intention is very
much for other divisions in the Group to have a presence in this region too.
Watch this space for updates!

Teams From adi Facilities Engineering and
Box Factory Raise Funds for Charity

Energetic and intrepid teams from adi
Group and Box Factory recently joined
forces with Forest of Hearts VIPs to raise
over £1200 for the Forest of Hearts.

The teams enjoyed a fun and fast-moving treasure hunt around the lovely
streets of Stratford upon Avon whilst visiting some of the Shakespeare
properties to discover clues and find the source of health and wellbeing.
The event was hosted to raise money to help support the Forest of Hearts
Harvest Share and Green Therapy projects.
Brian Imrie, Managing Director of adi Facilities Engineering said, “We had
a fantastic time with the teams from The Box Factory and Forest of Hearts
and are delighted to have raised £1,200 in the process for such a fantastic
local cause.”
“adi Group has previously supported the Forest of Hearts with their Honey
Bee Wood Project and annual fete so it’s great to be able to continue
this partnership to help further benefit the local environment, wildlife and
community. We look forward to supporting the next event and continuing
our partnership with Carole and the Forest of Hearts Team.”

Aquapak Polymers Supporting
Northfield Community Partnership

Aquapak Polymers continues to help
support the Northfield Community
Partnership each month with donations
to its food bank and support for its back
to work programme.

The Northfield Community Partnership was formed in 2007 as part of a
response to the collapse of MG Rover and the associated issues that
impacted on local people shops and business through this.
Shinayd Bennett, Central Office Administrator at Aquapak said, “Every
month we bring in essential long-life items such as toiletries and sanitary
items, cereals, rice, long-life milk, tins, baby food to help support the
Northfield Community Partnership Food Bank. Last week, the entire
Aquapak team all made a donation and I would say it was our largest
collection so far and it really helped them as it’s been a busy summer.”
“In addition, to essential items, we also donate any items of clothing that
are still in good condition to help support the partnerships back to work
programme for women. The programme helps to provide local people
with interview outfits, careers support and mock interviews.”
