Empowering Seniors Volunteers

Calling all volunteers!

Friday, October 4, 2019 | 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
www.EmpoweringSeniors.com

What is Empowering Seniors?

Seniors mean a lot to Commissioner Fickes and our office. After all, seniors
represent the fastest-growing segment of our population here in Northeast
Tarrant County. In 2009, Commissioner Fickes formed the Senior Task Force
and asked them to provide a vision for how the county could serve the 50+
population in a more relevant and tangible way. The group brainstormed and
asked to have a health and lifestyle expo right here; in Northeast Tarrant
County. That led to Empowering Seniors, which now attracts over 2,800
people ages 50+ on the first Friday of each October.

This year we are celebrating 11 years of Empowering Seniors!

Who Can Attend?

Empowering Seniors is a FREE health and lifestyle expo, open to
anyone and geared toward seniors, baby boomers, and caregivers.
The target is those 50+ who live in the Northeast and the greater
Tarrant County area. Attendees are asked to register before the
event, and on the day of the event, must check-in at volunteer
registration, which is located just inside the main entrance on your
right.

Be sure to thank this year’s sponsors
for helping to make this

award-winning event possible.
