HORNET FIGHT SONG

Hail to the Mighty Hornets
Hail to the Green and White

Hail! Hail! to Locust Fork
Come on Hornets! Fight! Fight!Fight! Fight!

Hail to the Mighty Hornets
Hail to the Green and White

Hail! Hail! to Locust Fork
Show your Hornet Pride! Hey!!

Dear Parents and Supporters,

As you know, the 2018 football season is here!
As Athletic Booster Club President, I am very
excited about the upcoming year; but in order
to have a successful year, it takes everyone
working together to accomplish our goals.

In recent years we have celebrated record Gregg Armstrong
breaking success in all of our sports from
State Championships, Final Four appearances,
County Championships, Area Championships,
Regional Championships, State Playoff
Appearances to making history with the
highest winning percentage in school history.
It is awesome to watch our entire community
pull together in support of our school. It
certainly has been an enjoyable time to be a
Hornet!!

I am very proud of Locust Fork High School, and I believe in our young people. I also believe our kids deserve
the very best. The Athletic Booster Club was established to aid our school, along with our coaching staff, in
providing our young boys and girls an opportunity to rise to their greatest potential.

If you look around Locust Fork, you will see the Athletic Booster Club and the Blount County School Board
have partnered to accomplish several improvements in our athletic facilities. We are proud to be opening our
new football stadium complete with new restrooms and athletic booster club concession stand along with
additional paving of our parking lot. We recently finished our new girls’ softball complex in April that is second
to none. There are more things to come down the road!! It is certainly a great time to be a Hornet!!

With all the problems in the world such as drugs, alcohol and many others, I believe our kids need us to stand
behind them more today than ever before. I encourage you to join the Booster Club and myself in supporting
our young people. Let’s all pull together and let them know we are there for them.

During the football season, the Athletic Booster Club will meet to discuss our athletic business at 2:30 p.m.
on Sundays during the weeks that we have home games. I encourage all parents and athletic supporters
to attend these meetings, and let’s all join together to make the 2018 year our best year ever. I believe our
youth at Locust Fork are worth our time and efforts. I hope to see you at the ballgames and our booster club
meetings.

In closing it has been a honor and privilege to serve as your Athletic Booster Club President for over 20
years on and off since 1987. Effective January 1st 2019, I will be stepping aside for a while. I will still be
Locust Fork’s biggest fan and supporter!! I will continue to work diligently to improve our wonderful School!!
Please join me in supporting our new leadership who I believe will continue the great progress we have seen
in the past!! I have always and will continue to be PROUD to be a Hornet!!! #togetherweswarm #FORKSUP
#onceahornetalwaysahornet!!

Remember, your support makes a difference.

Gregg Armstrong, President

Locust Fork Athletic Booster Club

First, I want to tell you how excited I am to be here. Locust Fork is a great
place to raise a family, and I am excited to have my wife and kids here at our
school. We are very excited about the future of our football program. Our coaches
have worked tremendously hard installing the work ethic and discipline it takes
to succeed on the field and more importantly in life itself.

I want to thank the players and player families for the countless hours they
spend working to make our program be successful. It is truly an honor to get to
coach the guys on a daily basis. Our players have worked tirelessly to take our
program to new heights of success, and we are very proud of them!

Next, I want to thank everyone that does so much for these players, our school
