Molecular Sieve 3A

Molecular sieve 3A is the potassium-sodium alumino-
silicate with type A crystal structure, made by exchanging
sodium ions in 4A molecular sieve with potassium ions.
The effective pore opening is about 3 angstroms, which
means it can only adsorb molecules with effective
diameter smaller than 3 angstroms. With this feature, 3A
molecular sieve is often used in the applications as below

Applications

Dehydration of unsaturated hydrocarbons (e.g., ethylene,
propylene, butadiene).
Dehydration of cracked petroleum gases, such as ethylene,
propylene, butadiene, acetylene and natural gas, and of
polar liquid, such as ethanol, LPG and solvent.
Drying natural gas.
Drying highly polar compounds, such as methanol and
ethanol.
Drying refrigerants.
Dehydration of benzene, toluene, xylene and other
solvents.
Dehydration of insulating glass units.

Molecular Sieve 4A

Molecular sieve 4A is the sodium alumino-silicate with
type A crystal structure. The effective pore opening is
about 4 angstroms, which means it can only adsorb
molecules with effective diameter smaller than 4
angstroms, such as nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide and
straight chain hydrocarbons. With this feature, 4A
molecular sieve is often used in the applications as below

Applications

Drying and removing of CO2 from natural gas, LPG, air, etc.
Removal of hydrocarbons, ammonia and methanol from
gas streams.
Refrigerant Drying.
Natural Gas Drying.
Dehydration of air in the air break units of automobile.
Be used as desiccant for foods, electronics elements, drugs
etc.

Molecular Sieve 5A

Molecular sieve 5A is the calcium-sodium alumino-
silicate with type A crystal structure, made by exchanging
sodium ions in 4A molecular sieve with calcium ions. The
effective pore opening is about 5 angstroms, which means
it can only adsorb molecules with effective diameter
smaller than 5 angstroms. With this feature, 5A molecular
sieve is often used in the applications as below

Applications

Remove water, CO2 , H2S from sour natural gas streams
Remove light mercaptans.
Separate normal- and iso-paraffins.
Drying of highly polar compounds, such as methanol and
ethanol.
Produce high purity N2 , O2 , H2 and inert gases from mixed
gas streams.

Molecular Sieve 13X

Molecular sieve 13X is the sodium alumino-silicate with
type X crystal structure. It’s also called NaX molecular
sieve. The effective pore opening is about 10 angstroms. It
can be used for the desulphurization of natural gas and
other fluids, especially for the removal of mercaptans, and
for drying of gases and liquids.

Applications

Remove CO2 and moisture from air and other gases.
Separate and enrich oxygen from air.
Remove mercaptans and hydrogen sulphide from
hydrocarbon liquid.
Remove n-chained compositions from aromatics.

Molecular Sieve

JLOX-103

JALON Molecular sieve JLOX-103 has high-efficiency
nitrogen adsorption, a lithium X-type (LiX Zeolite)
aluminosilicate crystal, adsorb nitrogen from the air while
allowing the oxygen to pass get purified enriched-oxygen
through the system pressure swing adsorption (VPSA)

With the characteristics of higher N2 adsorption
capacity and N2 with O2 selectivity, easy desorption and
etc. Its N2 adsorption capacity is 2-3 times larger than A
type oxygen enrichment molecular sieve.

Applications

In glass and steel mills where the use of heat is very
necessary when it comes to turning the raw materials into
malleable forms that are easy to work with in other stages
of manufacturing.
In the metallurgical industries that depend on high
temperatures to run furnaces that are hot enough to melt
down metals that have very high melting points.

Molecular Sieve

JLOX-500

Molecular sieve JLOX-500 is also the sodium alumino-
silicate with type X crystal structure. Compared to 13X
molecular sieve, its silica alumina ratio (SAR) is lower.
which give it the higher N2/O2 separation coefficient. With
this feature, JLOX-500 is widely used in PSA Oxygen
generator to produce oxygen.

Applications

The traditional way to produce oxygen is cryogenic
distillation, which is an economical capital-intensive
process for a large number of factories. Compared to
cryogenic distillation, PSA process is more attractive and
competitive when produces a small amount of oxygen
during low temperatures.
