Process of SIP

President's Message

FORE is committed to providing quality summer internships to our aspiring students. Summer internships
provide a great opportunity to channelize the learning of young minds that cannot be obtained in the
classroom. Internships are an excellent way for students to gain relevant experience, skill and knowledge in
a chosen industry or field they wish to build their career. An internship is also a time for employers to see the
students in action and assess their fit with the company's culture and needs.

We are very thankful to the corporate world for their support in engaging our high proficiency students. Our
students have received appreciation and certificates for good performance during their summer internship.
This has certainly helped in increasing the number of PPOs offered to our students over the years.

The 2013-15 PGDM and PGDM-International Business batches will be ready for their 8-10 weeks of
Summer Internship Program fromApril 2014 onwards.

I feel privileged to invite you for the Pre-Placement Talk and Selection process for Summer Internship
Program 2014 starting from October, 2013.

Director's Message

FORE School of Management believes that Summer Placements are an integral part of learning in
both our Post Graduate Programs in Business Management and International Business.
Summer Internship Program helps our students to gain valuable experience in terms of learning. It
channelizes their energy pertaining to their field of study by getting exposure from the real business
world.
A number of these organizations continue to offer PPOs, live projects as well as mentorships to our
students every year.
It is indeed a great pleasure to present our young, energetic and aspiring batches (2013-15) of PGDM
and PGDM-International Business students for Summer Internship starting from April, 2014.
We look forward to welcoming you at FORE School of Management to the selection process from
October 2013 onwards.

Purpose of Summer Internship Program

Summer Internship Program (SIP) is an integral part of the course curriculum for the students of
PGDM and PGDM - International Business at FORE. It provides an exposure to the students on real
life organizational challenges and an opportunity to work on them intensively. It also helps them
understand the organizational structure and processes in the practical setting. They also get to apply
concepts and theory learnt in the class room on real life problems.
All the first year students need to undergo 8-10 weeks of SIP in April-June every year in reputed
organizations. During the SIP, each student is assigned an internal faculty guide to whom he/she
submits the report at the end of the internship besides submitting it to the corporate guide for
evaluation. They are also required to make a presentation to faculty members and their colleagues.
During SIP, companies are also able to gauge the students closely and offer PPOs to the deserving ones.

keeping in mind the Final Placement schedule of the second year students and coordinating it with the
Academic Calendar (Mid-Term/End-Term Examinations) of the first year students.
