Describe How Helping at Home will Develops Your Character.

Helping at home will develop our characters whether good or bad
based on the education or activities at home. Based on the
Dictionary.Com (2021), Home is a noun that refers to the place
where a person or animal lives. Home can also mean a location
where something is native or very common and a place such as
a house or apartment where someone lives or a family living
together in one building. How by helping at home will develop our
characters? Character means one of the attributes or features
that make up and distinguish an individual. So, parents play an important role to help us develop
our characters by taking an active role in developing character. When we do activities together,
we will naturally follow what characteristics that parents have demonstrated at home. So, parents
are part of the solution in helping us develop our character, whether good or bad. This essay will
delve into characters that will develop in us by doing activities at home such as being a good
leader, being responsible, and a learner.

Helping parents doing house chores helps us become a good leader by dividing up duties
among siblings. A good leader is taking a stand, and stands come with a cost. Leaders help
themselves and others to do the right things as they set direction, build an inspiring vision, and
create something new. Leadership is about mapping out where we need to do as a team or an
organization. Sometimes, people always be mistaken a leader as the same as a manager but
leaders are different from managers. Managers tell people what to do and sometimes do the work
for them; leaders inspire people to achieve more than they thought possible and believe in
themselves and their team enough that they’re willing to put in the extra effort. In our family,
usually the eldest will divide the task equally between the siblings so everyone will take part in
doing it. These characteristics will occur if we do not take
part in it to develop our leadership skills. For example,
these characteristics will naturally be shown when we are
doing a group discussion because we will gain people's
trust and confidence as we have these skills by using
management skills to guide their people to the right
destination, in a smooth and efficient way. Strong leaders

help to develop a team or in discussion that can rely on each other and trust that everyone is
performing their job as they should. Teammates will trust each other, can approach each other
for support and have confidence that everyone in the group is working toward the same goal.

By doing house chores we will be more responsible. Definition of responsibility is having
an obligation to do something, or having control over or care for someone, as part of one's job or
role. First, we need to be responsible for ourselves before we can be responsible for others. In
learning to be more responsible it is important that we know our limitations. For example, when
we are kids, we do not have a lot of responsibility, but when we grow up, we will understand that
a lot of things in our life depend on our actions and we are responsible for the consequences.

These characteristics will help to develop such qualities as
freedom and confidence. To improve our responsibility, we can
go by starting from some simple tasks, like promising
something that is not very difficult to the family and to do it. For
example, as the working hours end at evening so parents do
not have time to do their house chores at home because of that
we are the one who they will give orders to finish it, will help them do that house chores that are
unfinished as it is our responsibility as children to help them. As we do the activities the
responsibility value will be built in ourselves. We will get the feeling of success, because we did
it. To make our life routine easy, write our tasks on the paper and we will not forget anything. It is
very difficult to be a responsible person, but we can be sure that we will get respect from other
people if we have these characteristics.

We can be a learner by doing the house chores at home by learning new skills. Not only
cooking skills but the other house chores too so we can adapt when we are at the other place.
Transferable skills are skills which can be developed in one situation and transferred in another
so from this activity we will get to know more about the other skills such as cooking skills and so
on. However, a lot of people think that cooking is just a way to satisfy their physical needs, while
others think that it is the ability to take care of their family and
friends. As an illustration, we will learn about what to do and not
to do. For example, knives or things that are sharp cannot be put
near where anyone can grab it easily as it will cause an injury
especially the babies. We also may know about the knowledge
about knives such as how to cut vegetables or fruits based on

their types. So, when we go to the other place, we will be more cautious as we remember the
knowledge, we learn at home. Next, we will know how to create healthy food as our mother does
at home while cooking. We know the exact quantity of substances like salt and sugar that should
be used whether more or less in cooking. This will help us reduce the spread of illness and risk
of medical conditions caused by the excessive consumption of sugar or salt as we control the use
of oil, salt and sugar in cooking to maintain good health.

In a nutshell, there are many activities that we can do at home that help develop our
characters As, we all know, the characters will be developed by action not with talk only and to
develop a good moral character can be challenging. So, we should take part in whatever activities
at home. Don’t be antisocial or else we will never develop our character when we are not home.
Based on an American author, Helen Keller’s words are relevant as children discover they can
succeed when they feel strong on the inside: “Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet
but it will develop only through experience of trial and suffering, can the soul be strengthened,
ambition inspired, and success achieved.” Families help children process loss, grief, and the
challenges of everyday life through supportive relationships that foster meaningful conversations.
