Parachute, string, paper clip, and stopwatch. string

Methods:
1. Tie 5 paper clips to the parachute.
2. Drop the parachute from level one and record the time taken for the parachute
to reach the ground.
3. Repeat steps 1 to 2 by using 10 paper clips and 15 paper clips.

2. Observe the change in colour of the two pieces of litmus paper.
3. Record your findings in the table below.

THIRSTY SPONGE
Materials:
Water, measuring cylinders, beaker, sponge A, sponge B, sponge C, ruler, and
stopwatch.
Procedures:
1. Measure the thickness of each sponge and record the reading.
2. Pour 300 ml of water into a beaker.
3. Place sponge A into the water and leave it there for 10 seconds.
4. Take sponge A out of the beaker by using forceps.
5. Measure the amount of water left in the beaker with a measuring cylinder.
6. Record your measurement in the table below.
7. Repeat steps 2 to 5 by using sponge B and sponge C.
