WORSHIP services PRAYER & WORSHIP NIGHT SEPTEMBER 10 | 6 PM | WORSHIP CENTER Plans have been made for an impactful fall semester but first, we are commanded to submit them to the Lord (James 4:15). Scripture teaches us that God knows what we need before we ask (Matthew 6:8). God delights to be asked humbly for big things (James 5:16–17). Since a genuine move of God’s Spirit is what we are looking for, we are calling an all-church prayer meeting and time of worship to kick off the semester. Fall 2023 SUNDAYS AT 9 & 11 AM Worship is what we were made for and what our weekend services are all about. There is so much about God to worship, and there are so many ways to do it. Our service includes music and singing, hearing and learning from God's Word, as well as thanking God and giving to His work. Conversational ASL interpretation is available at the 9:00 a.m. service and headphones are available at all services for those who are hard of hearing—just ask an usher for assistance. NEWCOMERS' BRUNCH OCTOBER 1 & NOVEMBER 5 | 12:45 – 2 PM UPPER ROOM Designed to help you get more connected into our church family, the Newcomers' Brunch is an opportunity to meet other people while learning about our church and the various ministries with which you can get involved. BAPTISM CLASS OCTOBER 22 | 11 AM | BARN 3 To become a Christian is to receive a whole new life—a cleansed life. This event is so important in a person's life; it should be celebrated in front of everyone, and that's what baptism is. Jesus told us to be baptized. To be baptized, you have to be a Christian. At a minimum, every true Christian holds belief in the Apostles' Creed, which is the oldest and most basic statement of faith in Christianity. To ensure you understand and believe the tenets of the Apostles' Creed, a pastor will help you confirm your beliefs at the class or before the baptism service. If you have a child seeking to be baptized, we have a parents' guide to help you walk through the steps toward baptism. This baptism class is designed to help you learn more about the baptism process, study biblical baptism, and answer your questions before the baptism services on November 12. To register for the baptism class, please visit myfac.org/baptism. Contact: Nicole Henkel, nicole.henkel@myfac.org FELLOWSHIP seasonal magazine 2 FALL 2023 3

BAPTISM SERVICE NOVEMBER 12 | 9 & 11 AM FELLOWSHIP seasonal magazine 2 FALL 2023 3

The most important event to happen in all of history was when God provided a way for people to receive true satisfaction for the deep desires of their hearts. This is the ultimate dividing line of the human race: some of us will stand on one side of that line and others will stand on the opposite. We will all exist eternally, but some of us will experience an eternal death and others will experience what Jesus called eternal life. The side on which you will stand is the most important issue you must deal with while here on earth. No one is exempt; we all will deal with God. God has put eternity in our hearts (Ecclesiastes 3:11) - this means God has given everyone an internal drive to find answers to the questions they can’t help but ask: Who am I at the deepest level? Why am I here? What is wrong? Who is wrong?  What does it mean to be a good person? What is a life lived the right way? What will make me happy? What happens when we die? You have to deal with God about your life, and it is loving to help people deal with the Holy God about their life. Jesus’ Great Commission has not needed to change or be edited since He gave it. There is a world full of nations, and God determines their borders, leaders, cultures, and life cycles (Acts 17:26-27). Jesus has been crowned King of the world in Heaven where He is seated and ruling over history. Christians from every generation are commanded to go to these nations and communicate the Good News to them. The stakes could not be higher, whether they are in Vietnam or Camden.  Some people are called in a special way to go to the nations. They prepare, pack up, and move in order to share the Good News in a new language. Then, they establish new churches from the people who are born again and baptized, discipling them and placing spiritual leaders there.  A LETTER FROM PASTOR SETH A Front Porch FELLOWSHIP seasonal magazine 4 FALL 2023 5

level into deeper alignment with His heart for evangelism.  Once a month, we will be hosting Sunday Q&A, which will provide a valuable opportunity for you to invite an unsaved neighbor, friend, or family member who is wrestling with questions about God to get their questions answered. I will also be teaching a new core course called Base Camp. In these ten weeks, I will teach the history of Heaven and Earth from God’s own pen – the Bible. I will be summarizing the storyline in ten episodes, helping people to read and understand the Bible. If you want to understand the account of the Bible more clearly, or you have a friend or family member who is looking to build on a foundation of Truth, you should both come.  So, while you are on your prayer walk, ask God for the courage and opportunity to invite someone you could bring to Sunday Q&A, Base Camp, and of course Sunday worship! Then, commit to coming with them and being a friend to them along the way.  You may have to walk across the street, but didn’t Jesus command us all to go?  For His Glory, Pastor Seth DRIVEWAYS AND PORCHES ARE FITTING PLACES TO HAVE initial CONVERSATIONS TO BUILD trust AND openness. We honor those who have heard and responded to that call! There is also another kind of ‘going’ to which Christ calls all of us. I just moved into a new home in a new neighborhood and the new neighbor is typically on the receiving end of a widespread string of visits. Neighbors come knocking on the door with smiles, a welcome, homemade cookies, and friendly advice about practical things like trash day, the best local breakfast place, and other good insider information.  I waited on our move-in day to see who would come knock on the door or come around from the side of the moving truck and introduce themselves. Nothing. I waited the next day as we were unpacking boxes. No knock. After a week, it dawned on me as I walked through the neighborhood, praying for the people in the houses I passed, that everyone around us knew we had moved in but no one came to welcome us. Maybe the neighbors might be unfriendly or not interested in meeting us? Maybe word got out that I am a pastor? So, one by one as I saw them in their driveway, I walked across the street and introduced myself. To my surprise, each neighbor we introduced ourselves to was delighted to meet us and offered us advice about local things and was genuinely glad we had moved in. In each case, we spent quite a while talking in the driveway. I am praying and eager to open up opportunities to talk with them about the most important event to ever happen. One of my hopes for us as a church in the months between now and Christmas is that hundreds of you would also prayer walk your neighborhoods, office parks, or rows of lockers at school. I hope that as you do, the weight of people’s eternal destiny is a good burden and motivation to be optimistic and courageous. They will likely be more open than you think! None of my neighbors invited us into their house for dinner on our first visit; we were both much more comfortable in the driveway or on the porch. Driveways and porches are fitting places to have initial conversations to build trust and openness. As a church, it is very important that we have a good “driveway” and “front porch” for people who are experiencing Christianity for the first time.  In our time and place, what I am hearing from the new people who are coming to our church is that they are looking for the honest and clear truth. There is no better or clearer place to hear the Truth than in the News that God has told us through the men who wrote the Bible. Every year I lay out three aims that I focus my efforts on and take to God in prayer. This year one of the things I am asking the Lord to do for us is to bring us at a heart FELLOWSHIP seasonal magazine 4 FALL 2023 5

“One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.” PROVERBS 11:24 We should not be surprised that life itself gets behind generosity and pushes against greed because God is generous, and He made everything. Since the church is God’s household, His values are what we desire and find beautiful. God did not spare giving His only begotten Son for His household (Romans 8:32); we should respond fittingly. Let us not shortchange ourselves from all the blessings that flow from generous giving. 3 WAYS TO GIVE Online: myfac.org/give | App: FAC Mobile | In Person: via cash/check WORSHIP THROUGH giving FELLOWSHIP seasonal magazine 6 FALL 2023 7

KEITH ALLEN NEW STAFF profiles Keith and his family lived in southern California and Rhode Island prior to the Lord leading them to New Jersey. He considers it an honor to be on mission with Fellowship as God continues to mold our church even more into His image and use it in building His kingdom. Keith and his wife, Tafida, have been married for 23 years and have been together for nearly 27 years. They have seen God’s hand at work in their marriage through sinful times, righteous times, sorrowful times, happy times, scary times, and much more. They have three sons, Micah (17), Elijah (15), and Ezra (13). The Allen family is so excited to call Fellowship home, and they are grateful for the hospitality our church body has shown them. There were several factors that led Keith to accept the Adult Discipleship Director position. Fellowship has a strong story, one of God’s favor and blessing through an obedient leadership and congregation to continue in Christ’s mission to seek and save the lost. Fellowship is also committed to the authority of Scripture in a time when Truth is desperately needed for our lives, homes, church, and our world. Furthermore, Fellowship is not content sitting idly by while the effects of sin riddle the fabric of society, but we are confident in God continuing to build His church on earth by the power of His Spirit, using ordinary people who have been transformed by His extraordinary love. Keith’s role as Adult Discipleship Director is to help strengthen all programs relating to adult discipleship by equipping and empowering leaders for ministry. While he will be working on the overall discipleship path for Fellowship, he will be working closely with men’s ministry. “I have a burden for the spiritual health of men and helping them become strong and tenderhearted leaders in their homes, church, workplaces, and social circles. I have seen the mighty transformation God can do in these areas when we submit our lives to the authority of Christ and live into the role He designed for us.” Please be in prayer for Keith and his family during this transition. Pray that they would acclimate well to the region, new schools, new roles, and their new church family. Pray for wisdom, strength, and humility to lead in a manner worthy of Christ. “My prayer for us as a church is Ephesians 3:20-21—Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” —KEITH ALLEN, ADULT DISCIPLESHIP DIRECTOR FELLOWSHIP seasonal magazine 8 FALL 2023 9

CARLY MAGNIN JORDAN ROBINSON Carly grew up in Marlton, New Jersey and graduated from Cherokee High School. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and worked as a NICU and Women’s Health nurse for 13 years before joining the Fellowship staff. She currently lives in Marlton with her husband of 12 years, Kevin, and their three girls.  Carly grew up in a Christian home and was actively involved in the church. She never doubted the existence of God or the incredible sacrifice Jesus gave for us, but she didn’t truly have a relationship with God until adulthood. It took finding herself at her very lowest point to fully surrender her life to the Lord. “Through prayer, fellowship, mentorship, and studying God’s Word, my faith has matured greatly. It has been incredible to see God’s work in my life, and it is a blessing to truly desire His will.” As the Early Childhood Ministry Coordinator, she oversees the care and curriculum of children ages birth to five years old. In the Treehouse, Carly teaches our littles to learn about, worship, and love the Lord. They use lessons, stories, crafts, songs, and more to engage children during weekday, weekend, and special event programming. “I have the unique opportunity to combine my professional experience, my role as a mother, and my love for Jesus as I seek to glorify God by pouring love into these little souls. Plus, my time with the kids is always a ton of fun!” It is important for Carly to provide a safe, warm, and welcoming environment, not just for the children, but for their whole family. “It is a big deal to leave your child in someone else’s care, and one of the most important parts of my job is helping parents feel comfortable and confident in bringing their children to the Treehouse. It is a true honor and blessing to have the ability to engage and influence each one of these little children to know God’s great love for them.” —CARLY MAGNIN, EARLY CHILDHOOD MINISTRY COORDINATOR Jordan grew up in Medford with her parents and two younger siblings. She and her family attended a Methodist church, but Jordan recalls, “I attended church because I thought it was something that I needed to do, not necessarily because I wanted to go.” It was only after she had gotten her first job right out of college that she began to feel God calling. Jordan had been chasing the world’s definition of success, and after achieving many of the goals she set for herself she realized that there was nothing that the world could offer that would bring her a sense of fulfillment. “I was disheartened and confused, not knowing what else to do, I opened my Bible and began reading. All the answers were in there, and now I know that in God I find everything I need.”  After moving to Maryland and working in medical sales, Jordan returned home to Medford. In November 2022, she walked through the doors of Fellowship for the first time and ever since then she has been attending Sunday services and has been involved in different ministries. She joined the Fellowship staff as Communications Coordinator this past June where she helps execute and monitor communication strategies. She desires to help create a welcoming environment where members can come together and grow in their relationship with God.    It is an immense blessing to be surrounded by staff who love and worship God. There is a beauty in gathering as brothers and sisters in Christ and working for God’s glory. I am looking forward to continually learning and growing in my faith and to be immersed in an environment where others are looking to do the same. —JORDAN ROBINSON, COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR " FELLOWSHIP seasonal magazine 8 FALL 2023 9

SUPPORT GROUPS One way God does His maturing work in our lives is by taking us through problems. Some problems we have been the cause of, others we had no hand in. In both cases, God has authored every day of our lives, so He grows us through our troubles, accomplishing His good purposes even through really hard days—giving us unshakeable hope. Others who have grown through these same troubles lead the groups by looking to God's Word for the Truth and way to new life.
