Vedic Mathematics Mathematics is the knowledge used by Indians from the very ancient times. Astrologers and Jyotishyas were doing calculation which used that knowledge. The knowledge of Mathematics is very old from Vedic period. the shloka clearly states the important of mathematics. "As the crest on the head of peacock, as the gem on the head of the king cobra. Similarly, Mathematics has a top position in all Vedas and Shastras." Bharathi Krishna Theertha Maharaj of Shankaracharya Peetham Puri has worked out the modalities used in our Vedas and brought out 16 sutras and 14 sub sutras by which all the calculations can be worked out just mentally. Now-a-days, government is giving lot of emphasise to popularize and use of Vedic Maths. A brief about the Maharaj is given below. Bharati Krishna Tirtha Maharaj Venkatraman Shastri was born in March 1884 to an orthodox Tamil Brahmin family. His father was P. Narasimha Shastri, originally a tahsildar at Tirunelveli who later became the Deputy Collector of the Madras Presidency. Venkatraman passed his matriculation examination from Madras University in January 1899, where he finished first. He was awarded the title "Saraswati" by the Madras Sanskrit Association in July 1899 at the age of 16.He passed B.A. examination in 1902. He then appeared for the M.A. Examination for the American College of Sciences in Rochester, New York from the Bombay centre in 1903. In 1908, he joined the Sringeri Math in Mysore to study under Swami Satchidananda Sivabhinava Nrisimha Bharati, the Sankaracarya of Sringeri. Where he spent his next eight years studying advanced Vedanta philosophy. During those eight years, he also taught Sanskrit and philosophy to local schools and ashrams. He attended many national and international religious conferences and yoga workshops. He believed in the Vedantic ideal of Purnatva which, literally translated, means "all-round perfection and harmony". Bharati Krishna Tirtha's book Vedic Mathematics is a list of sixteen terse sutras, or aphorisms, discussing strategies for mental calculation. Bharati Krishna claimed that he found the sutras after years of studying the Vedas, a set of sacred ancient Hindu texts “Vedic Mathematics” Sutras For arithmetic, Bharati Krishna gives several algorithms for whole number multiplication and division,(flag or straight) division, fraction conversion to repeating decimal numbers, calculations with measures of mixed units, summation of a series, squares and square roots (duplex method), cubes and cube roots (with expressions for a digit schedule), and divisibility (by osculation).several tests and techniques for factoring and solving certain algebraic equations with integer roots for quadratic, cubic, biquadratic, systems of linear equations, and systems of quadratic equations are demonstrated. For fractional expressions, a separation algorithm and fraction merger algorithms are given. Other techniques handle certain patterns of some special case algebraic equations. Just an introduction to differential and integral calculus is given. To know more read his book Vedic Maths. Shri M. S. Mr. Pawan Sharma T.G.T Mathematics Striking the Right Chord: How Music Shapes the AllRound Development of a Child "The quote 'Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything' perfectly captures the significance of music in a child's development. Music is eternal, everlasting, and ubiquitous. Although many sounds surround us, such as birds chirping, babies giggling, and the blowing wind, it's the collection of coordinated sounds put together in purposeful ways to express emotions that we call music. When it comes to the all-round development of a child, it's a known fact that the first three years after birth are crucial for the formation of brain connections that will influence their speech, language, motor, and cognitive skills. Music plays a vital role in expanding a child's ability to interact with the world by providing new skills for self-expression and communication. Moreover, music enhances a child's sound, speech perception, reading, and mathematical abilities, as well as sharpening their concentration and refining their time management skills. It also improves coordination and the respiratory system, promoting a healthier life. Studies have shown that children exposed to music have a faster development of the brain, as the encoding of the processing sounds accelerates their auditory pathway and results in a faster response from the brain compared to non-musical children. Music brings life to everyone, harmony to the world, and when words fail, music speaks. Let's embrace a musical life!" Ms. Tanvi Tiwari Music Teacher Hip-Hop Hip hop is a cultural and artistic movement created by African Americans, Latino Americans, and Caribbean Americans in the Bronx, New York City. Kalpana Chawla Into the unknown, beyond limits, She flew in the boundless space as her name befits. Distant was her goal, the path was tough, Hard work was her tool, not push nor bluff. Blooming like a flower, determined like a rock, She shone and rose above the flock. Walking beside the earth, floating in space, Joyous was her heart, she had won the race. She was now an idol with a huge following crowd, As the daughter of this land, she made us very proud. The ill-fated Columbia took her away, Disheartening was the news but God has his way. She made us smile, she made us cry, With the news of her death, out came a sigh. She was a woman of substance, to which every female looks. Golden will be her entry in the historians’ books. Ms. Ruhi Punyani PRT Mathematics Unearthing the Untold Tales: Fascinating Facts from the Pages of Indian History Hitler Veda Fusion Concept Adolf Hitler, as we all know, was an infamous Nazi leader who was curious about having great authority over people. He attempted to decipher the ancient Indian Sanskrit texts that he was aware of. He approached an Indian person out of pure curiosity, Ashutosh Dandi Priest from Andhra Pradesh named Bhatla Vishwanath Shastri. In order to assist German academics in deciphering the Sanskrit hymns of the Vedas, Hitler called Brahmashri to the University of Munich in Germany. Why did Hitler seek to translate the Vedic hymns? The answer is pretty straightforward. He had heard of battles and enormously devastating weaponry in Hindu legendary traditions, thus he just wanted to get ready for World War II war missiles, to make sense of it. So that they could create some form of battle defence technology, he urged Brahma Shastri to clarify the meaning of Vedic mantras. It is asserted that this understanding has led to the observation of pulse jet engines. As a result, V8 rockets called Buzz Bombs were fired. Whether it is accurate or not, it is a fact that Adolf Hitler summoned Brahmashatri to the Munich University where they collaborated on it. Frankfurt may still have a huge portrait of Brahmashri Dandi Bhatla Vishwanath Shastri hanging on the wall. Still, much remains to be deciphered from the powerful world scripture known as the Vedas, a pride of ancient India. Ms. Surekha Manthankar T.G.T. Social Studies 52

Why Right Nutrition is Essential? The foods that we eat contain vitamins, minerals, and amino acids—the building blocks of proteins—along with other nutrients. These elements contribute greatly to health and longevity by imparting vigour and vitality to the body, fighting disease, and thereby prolonging life. Sir Robert Cararison, a well-known nutritionist, aptly remarks, "The right kind of food is the most important single factor in the promotion of health, and the wrong kind of food is the most important single factor in the promotion of disease." The body builds and maintains healthy cells, tissues, glands, and organs with the help of various nutrients that are taken in the diet. The body cannot perform any of its functions, be they metabolic, hormonal, mental, physical, or chemical, without them. Food is also of utmost importance in the cure of disease. The primary cause of disease is a weakened organism or lowered resistance in the body, arising from the adoption of faulty food habits. There is an elaborate healing mechanism within the body, but it can perform its function only if it is abundantly supplied with all the essential nutritional factors. It is estimated that human cells require roughly 45 chemical elements and components. Each of these 45 substances—carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals, and vitamins—must be present in the diet. Wheat is an excellent coating of bran, vitamins, and essential wheat germ, vitamins, and minerals, resulting in constipation and other digestive disturbances and nutritional disorders. A high intake of refined white sugar can rob the body of the vitamins supplied to it through other foods. It can cause gastric catarrh, hyperacidity, and tooth decay. By putting a healthy diet into practice, we can maintain good health, ward off disease, and prolong our lives. Ms. Gayatri Sharma Special Educator & Nutritionist The Unstoppable Force While we grow, we encounter different stages of life and various problems. For example, your current challenge is how to study, perform well, and give your best. The secret is to keep moving forward and never stop. Learn to rest, not to quit. Just keep doing what you are supposed to do: study and work hard day and night. I understand how difficult it is. You will have to sacrifice things that please you, such as your phone, games, and sleep. You will have to stay up late and wake up early. There will be times when you feel like giving up, but that is when hope is needed the most. It is in the darkest of hours that we must focus to see the light. Never lose hope. Believe that you can do it and let the light of that hope guide you to success. When everything seems to fail, remember that you were made to achieve things greater than the highest peak in the world. You have the strength to fight against challenges. Have faith that one day you will achieve all you have wished for. Hold on to your dreams and work hard. One day, when you look back, you will proudly say, "Yes, I did it." Memoir Rural Calling… Recently, I personally witnessed the devastating effects of COVID-19 on the world. It was a new experience for me and my generation, and even my parents had not encountered anything like it before. My grandmother had faint memories of similar epidemics from her childhood. The pandemic brought many sad and painful experiences for people, including losing loved ones and suffering. However, during this difficult time, I had the chance to experience the beauty of Mother Nature in a magical, learning, and blissful way. When the lockdown was announced, I happened to be in my native village with my mother and some relatives. The news of not having to go to school made me happy, but I didn't realize what was coming. Soon, online classes started, and homework followed. I heard stories of curfews and restrictions on movement, and my classmates complained about not being able to go to the park or playground. But then, many families moved to the village, most of them apple farmers. Suddenly, there were seven of us, of different ages but with the same spirits. We played, ran, and walked in the farms, breathing fresh air from the woods and playing in the soil with our hands. Nobody wore masks or washed their hands as frequently as in the cities, but we were safe in the lap of Mother Nature. It felt like the "backward" part of the world was the safest and most peaceful place to live. I overheard my mother talking about losses and the critical situation caused by COVID-19, but it felt like an alien thing to me. All I saw was the beauty of the Deodar (Pine) forest, the snow-fed water stream, the lush green apple orchards, and the warmth and happiness of the people. I learned about dairy practices and befriended cattle in the cowsheds. During apple season, I learned about apple picking and packing and how to operate the local pulley system (Spain). In winter, I practiced pruning and grafting techniques. I learned about the hardships faced by people in the village, but they worked with smiling faces, and my best buddies were my uncle and aunt, who taught me about rural culture and showered their unconditional love on me. I thank God for showing me the best of the cosmos in the form of Rural. The pandemic was devastating, but it gave me the opportunity to experience the love and beauty of nature. Let's all pledge to save our pristine nature and lessen the burden of pollution on the environment. Yagna Sharma, IV- B Stephen Hawking, A legendary Theoretical Physicist! Professor Stephen Hawking's full name was Stephen William Hawking. He discovered that black holes emit radiation that can be detected using specialized equipment. His discovery made it possible to study black holes in detail. He was born on January 8, 1942, in Oxford, England. Between 1979 and 2009, he was the director of the Center for Theoretical Cosmology at the University of Cambridge. He was also the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics. He received a bachelor's degree in physics from Oxford University. Additionally, he did groundbreaking work on the singularities of black holes and black hole mechanics. He also claimed that Einstein's big bang theory predicted the singularity. He achieved commercial success with many works of popular science in which he discussed his theories. He also wrote many books, such as "A Brief History of Time." He also stated that if we make it through the next 100 years, we will probably have spread into space. Thus, a disaster on Earth would not mean the end of humanity. Utkarsh Sharma, VII-A 55
