Students must attend an April graduation
orientation orientation session. To reserve your
place in orientation, please fill out this form by
April 15th. Dates are listed below:

Come join your fellow Falcon graduates and graduation candidates
at Commencement! Commencement is a graduation ceremony for
graduates, graduations candidates, their families, faculty, and staff.
It's a great opportunity to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and
achievements of our students. Purchase your cap & gown and get
ready to walk across the stage!

COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
There is a designated area for parents, families, and guests to park. You will be
allowed four tickets to share with your family and friends. More information about
the distribution of tickets will be provided at Graduation Orientation. The ceremony
will be live streamed for those who are not able to attend but would like to
celebrate with you.
Family can begin entering the facility at 9:00 am. Please note all graduates are
expected to arrive no later than 8:30 am fully dressed in cap and gown to secure
a spot in the ceremony.

Regalia
All students participating in the LSC-CyFair commencement ceremony must wear
a black cap & gown. Caps, gowns, and tassels may be purchased from the
Campus Bookstore until 2 pm, Friday May 12th, 2023. The bookstore is located
on campus in the College Center (281-290-5950). The cost of the cap and gown
(which includes the tassel) is $40 plus tax. Tassel only is $9. Black Cap only is
$10. Gown only is $21. Students may also purchase a black cap, gown and
tassel from other vendors or borrow from a previous graduate or family member.

Honors College
If eligible, students within the Honors College will be contacted for honors
graduation regalia. Please contact 281-290-3472 or
[email protected] for any questions.
Commencement Attire
The official commencement attire is business casual. Men are encouraged to
wear slocks, collared shirts, ties and dress shoes. Women are encouraged to
wear professional dress or slacks and appropriate closed toe shoes.

DIPLOMAS
Graduates and Graduation Candidates who participate in the
commencement ceremony will receive a diploma cover at the ceremony.
Graduates will receive their diplomas through the mail to the address
specified on the graduation application after successful completion of
degree requirements are verified.
Diplomas are printed and distributed from our System Office and will be
sent out 6-8 weeks after the student's degree has been posted. Once a
degree is posted, the student will receive an email in their MyLoneStar
email account, and it can be seen on their unofficial/official transcript.
