SCHOOL HISTORY Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tanah Merah was established in 1965 and is known as Sekolah Menengah Rendah Tanah Merah Site C. From 1965 to 1969, the school was operated in the Tanah Merah Site 'C' National (Chinese) Primary School building. The number of students at that time was 80, with 7 teachers.In 1970, the school moved to its current location, which consisted of 9 classrooms, 1 workshop, and a canteen. In November 2005, most of the classrooms and workshops were upgraded. In the year 2013, 11 candidates received straight A's for PMR results, with a passing percentage of 65%, making it history. Year after that, one student obtained 7A and 1B for PT3 and in SPM, a total of 3 students recorded straight A's. The school successfully became a Champion in the Track and Field Championship, the Minister of Education Cup at the Port Dickson level in the same year. In 2015, the school had approximately 750 students, 61 teachers, and 2 counsellors. 29 classrooms had been opened.
