Penguin Bay
Located on the first floor of the Outpost, it is where players can
buy counterfeit ship licenses as an alternative method to upgrade
their ship without the need of Crew. Counterfeit licenses are very
expensive (it will cost 300,000 pixels to buy them all) and only one
will be available at a time. If no license is currently for sale, you may
need to upgrade your ship using Upgrade Modules before the next
one becomes available. Note, Penguin Bay will not open until the
player completes the Erchius Mining Facility, fixes their ship and
fetches the Floran Artifact.

EASEL
Located on the second floor of the Outpost, it is a shop with a custom
UI to design your own signs. These signs can display anything and
can be placed after being designed. Signs crafted here can also
be made to have a light effect that can be on or activated by a
switch. Watch my YouTube video, ‘How to Make your own Custom Signs
with EASEL’. You can also copy signs you have already made and
use them as a template for new signs. Note, EASEL will not open
until the player has fetched the Floran Artifact.

Frogg Furnishings
Located on the third floor of the Outpost, Frogg Furnishings always
sells Colony Deeds and outdoor furniture along with a rotating
set of themed furniture objects that change every 24 hours (real
world time). Rotating furniture inventory themes include; Day 1
Astronaut, Day 2 Cabin, Day 3 Farm/Kitchen, Day 4 Gothic, Day
5 Island, Day 6 Retro, Day 7 Saloon, Day 8 Sea, Day 9 Spooky and
Day 10 Steampunk. Note, Frogg Furnishings will not open until the
player has completed the Erchius Mining Facility quest.

Penguin Pete the Shipyard Captain
Located on the first floor of the Outpost, just past Penguin Bay,
Penguin Pete sells vehicle controllers and auto chips. Here you
can buy various colored hoverbikes or a boat. He is also who you
speak with to upgrade your ship using Upgrade Modules once
you obtain a license and speaking with him is required for some
quests completion.

Treasured Trophies
Located east of the Outpost to the left of the ARK teleporter, it
sells unique and rare items and objects in exchange for other rare
treasures. It is the only shop at the Outpost that doesn’t sell items
for pixels and instead barter in exchange for new items. The player
should also interact with the ARK teleporter located here, as they
can bookmark the located to fast travel here from any teleporter.
This is the closest location to Esther Bright at the ARK, which the
player will return to regularly for main story quests.

Biggy’s Reputable Weaponry
Located on basement level 1 of the Outpost, Biggy’s Reputable
Weaponry sells unique weapons that are offered in exchange for
their crafting materials. The quest to fight Shockhopper MK I is also
given to the player from Biggy’s and must be completed before the
player can gain access to the shop. Weapons available will change
every 24 hours and only two weapons are offered at any given time.
Inventory includes the following legendary weapons; Claw Glove,
Frozen Boomerang, Hard Chakram, Lunarang, Molten Boomerang,
Neo Chakram, Saw Chakram, Stun Glove, Vine Fist.

Beakeasy
Located on basement level 2 of the Outpost, the Beakeasy is
where mercenary penguins do shady business. At the bar, players
can obtain side quests to fight Dreadwing and Shockhopper MK
I. After completing the Dreadwing quest, the bar will return to regular
operations and fill with penguin mercenaries at which time, the
bartender will offer the player Dubloons in exchange for 3 diamonds
each. These dubloons can be exchanged for pirate penguin crew
members for the players ship, an alternate method to acquiring
crew to upgrade your ship.

Tech Lab
Located on the second floor of the Outpost, the Tech Lab is where
Tech Cards can be exchanged to acquire new tech. After tech
is acquired, the player can return to the tech lab to change their
tech at any time or purchase their very own Tech Console. Tech
Consoles can be played anywhere, including the players ship
but will break if they are moved. Initially, the player will need to
complete the Tech side quests, to acquire each of the three base
techs, Dash, Pulse Jump and Sphere.

Ursa Miner
Located on the third floor of the Outpost, Ursa Miner sells refined
ore for crafting. As players complete quest milestones, more refined
ore will become available for the player to buy with pixels. Milestones
include the Erchius Mining Facility and obtaining each Artifact.
They also sell pickaxes and later, drills for the player to use to mine
more quickly. Note, Ursa Miner will not sell to the player until the
complete the side quest ‘The Lost Teddy’ (watch my YouTube video
for a walk-through).

Rob Repairo
Located on first floor of the Outpost, directly to the left of
Penguin Pete the Shipyard Captain, Rob Repairo is a repair
station for the player to use. Interact with Rob Repairo to
repair your vehicle controllers. To repair a vehicle, you will
need your broken or damaged controller and auto chips. If
you do not have auto chips, you can purchase them just next
door from Penguin Pete the Shipyard Captain.

Shop Access, Player Saves & Outpost Storage Containers
It is important to know that once a player unlocks a shop, it is accessible to any other character that
player uses on their account or any other player that enters the same universe or multiplayer server. The
only way to reverse this is to completely delete the contents of the player folder. Any items placed in
storage containers at the Outpost, will disappear when the player leaves the Outpost.

fantastical tip

Secret Room under the Outpost

There is a small hidden room under the Outpost which is
only accessible to the player once the acquire the Spike
Sphere tech from the Tech Lab or if they are very talented
with grappling hooks or rope they could also access it.

To access the room, go to the far left of the Outpost and
roll over the edge with your Spike Sphere activated until
you get to the hidden room. Inside the room, you will find
the Insidious Mask.

pets

Pets come in two forms, captured pets and ship pets. Ship pets
live on the players ship and never leave while captured pets can
be taken with you on your travels and deployed to aide you.

ship pets

Your furry or slimy pet companion
Ship pets spawn into the game with the player and are based on the players selected race. This pet
cannot be changed, nor can the color, and the color of your pet is randomly selected. These pets
never leave your ship because they don’t follow you (although they will often run to greet you when
you teleport to your ship).

Pet Behavior
Ship pets have hidden states for hunger, tiredness, playfullness and curiosity. Their behavior will
change based on these stats. You can help keep your pet satisified in all areas by purchasing and
placing a Pet House and Food Bowl from Terramart at the Outpost. You can also purchase a Little
Red Ball which you can use to play with your pet to keep them happy. You will need to figure out
what type of food your pet likes to eat by letting them try it, place it in their food bowl & refill it regularly with
what they like to eat. If a food item is in your hand they love, they will beg.

How to Use Capture Pods
Capture Pods can be used to catch critters, fish

Monsters must first be weakened before a capture
is attempted. If you miss a target, the Capture
Pod lands on the ground and you can retreive
it to try again. If the creature is caught, the pod
turns from blue to red, and you can pick it up.
You can then throw the filled pod to release the
animal. Throw it again, to return it to the pod.
As of 1.1, swimming critters and water creatures
can now be captured.

fishing

There are a number of fish that can only be caught using a fishing rod and
only on Ocean planets. These fish won’t even appear in the wild without a
fishing lure to attract them. Day, night and depth can be factors in where
they appear. All fish caught will add to your Collections.

fishing basics

How to Fish - The Controls
Left click or up to reel in, down to let out more line and descend, and left/right to steer the lures direction.
When you master the lure controls, fishing will be a simple task. Moving the lure away from the
undesireable fish and towards the fish you want to catch is how you can catch rare fish. Different
lures offer different benefits to make catching fish easier. When you catch a fish, reel it in, but only
while it is not swimming directly away from you. When a fish pulls your line, the line will blink quickly,
indicating the player should stop reeling in or risk the fish breaking the line and getting away.

Fishing Rods
To begin fishing, you will need a Fishing Rod. To fish on all Ocean Planets, including Toxic and Magma,
you will need the upgraded Durable Fishing Rod.

fossils

Players can find fossils underground on the back wall and salvaged using a
fossil brush. When activated with a brush, a mini game appears that allows
the player to uncover the fossil that is under the dirt. Specialized fossil tools
and display stands can be crafted at a Fossil Crafting Station. It is good to
note that the fossil on the wall may not be the actual fossil you receive,
fossil appearance underground appears to be random.

collecting fossils

The Tools
Specialized brushes are required to collect fossils as
they initiate the mini game when used on exposed
fossils. Higher quality brushes, such as the Advanced
Fossil Brush and Master Fossil Brush, make better
tools available during the mini game. Fossil brushes
can only be crafted at a Fossil Crafting Station.

The Mini Game Basics
Once the mini game window opens, you will notice a
variety of tools available for excavation. Each tool
has a number of uses assigned to it, displayed next
to each tool (the number of uses vary depending
on the mini game generation).

Each tool you use will clear away sections of dirt, exposing the fossil underneath. The brush can be used to
remove dirt without being used up, it does not have use limits. The number of tiles to clear the rubble and
expose the fossil is displayed on the right hand side (i.e. 3/9). There are also treasure chests that can be
uncovered in addition to the fossil during the mini game. If at any point, the player cannot successfully clear,
either due to destroying the fossil or not clearing enough rocks, the game will immediately end and the
player will receive a ‘failed’ or ‘incomplete’ message. It is important to note, players can still take damage
from monsters while playing the mini-game in multiplayer so be wary of your surroundings before beginning
the game.

How to Win
Fossils are covered by both dirt and rock. The brush tool can be used to clear away dirt but rock requires
power tools or chisels with limited uses. If the power tool is used on any block without a rock layer, the fossil
will be destroyed and the player will lose automatically. After you clear away a rock layer with a power
tool, use the brush to remove the dirt and uncover the fossil. Continue until the entire fossil is clear or all
limited use tools are used up.

Display your Fossil Collection
You can display the fossils you uncover in display cases. There are three size cases available, small, medium
and large. The fossil size is identified in the tooltip for each fossil. Interact with a display case to open the
door and place the fossil inside. You can pick up and replace fossils as desired, similar to furniture. Note,
fossils can only fit into display cases of the matching size.
