♦ Power supply and connecting the flat cable of the devices

Connecting the devices as in the picture, the pin 1 of flat is colour blue or red. The power
of the devices usually is 4 wires , the 5 V are to be connected as in the picture.

1 Led SAVE: Indicates backup from EMUFDD to USB memory stick

2 Led LOAD: Indicates loading from USB memory stick to EMUFDD

3 Led ACCESS: Indicates a request to write or read from CN or PC to EMUFDD

4 Led OFF-LINE: Must be turned ON when you save or load on the USB memory
stick

5 Button SAVE: To save file from EMUFDD to USB memory stick

6 Button LOAD: To load file from USB memory stick to EMUFDD

7 Button DOWN: To scroll through different image files on the memory stick (1
image file has the same capacity of a floppy) up to a maximum of 100 image files,
image files must have the following suffix EMUXX144. IMG, the XX indicates the
number of files, so if you wish to create 100 filenames mast be EMU00144. IMG
up to EMU99144.IMG. The number 144 indicates that we are working with a
1.44 Mb floppy.

8 Button UP: To scroll through different image files on the memory stick (1 image
file has the same capacity of a floppy) up to a maximum of 100 image files, image
files must have the following suffix EMUXX144. IMG, the XX indicates the number
of files, so if you wish to create 100 filenames mast be EMU00144. IMG up to
EMU99144.IMG.. The number 144 indicates that we are working with a 1.44 Mb
floppy.

10 Connector for USB

After connecting the device to the CNC or PC , need to check that the EMUFDD to be
seen from the machine, to try one write to the device, if the device is not see by the
CNC, must try to configure it in another way.

♦ Load the image file from USB memory stick to EMUFDD

Insert a USB memory stick, push the button load or save (this is used to place off-line
EMUFDD) the red led offline is on, the Display shows CH and scans the image files on
your USB memory stick. With the up and down buttons to scroll through all the image
files from 00 to 99, those on the USB memory stick are shown on the display with two
decimal points bright example 0.1. . Select the file you want to upload, press the LOAD
button until the green led is on and start flashing the yellow led ACCESS. During this
phase, the display shows LO (LOAD), when they turn off the green led of LOAD, and
the yellow of ACCESS, and the red led OFFLINE, you can remove the USB memory stick,
the display alternates between the two central segments of the display, and the number
of image files uploaded.

♦ Save image files from EMUFDD to USB memory stick

Insert a USB memory stick, push the button load or save (this is used to place off-line
EMUFDD) the red led offline is on, the Display shows CH and scans the image files on
your USB memory stick, after scanning, the display will show the internal file of EMUFDD,
to save it on USB memory stick you must press and hold the save button until the green
led is on and start flashing the yellow led ACCESS. During this phase, the display
shows SA (SAVE), when they turn off the green led of LOAD, and the yellow of
ACCESS, and the red led OFFLINE, you can remove the USB memory stick, the display
alternates between the two central segments of the display, and the number of image
files uploaded..
If the file you want to save, is not present on the USB memory stick, is created
automatically by EMUFDD

When ordering EMUFDD, are prompted the type of CNC or PC where it wil be installed, but
sometimes you require need change the configuration. This procedure is made entirely by
software, just upload the .cfg file you want to on your USB memory stick, put EMUFDD offline
( led red on) push the button SAVE o LOAD, the EMUFDD charge the new configuration,
delete the file .cfg from the key and reset automatically , for more safety recharge the image
file on EMUFDD.

♦ To check the configuration of the EMUFDD

Push the button LOAD or SAVE (without inverting the USB memory stick ), appears in the
display the following sequence:
