A Note from the Director

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on people’s
lives and businesses for over eight months now. The theatre
certainly has been no exception and the entertainment industry
as a whole has been especially impacted with Broadway not
scheduled to reopen until June of 2021.
Therefore, we need lighthearted comedies like this one to get us
through the hard and scary times, and unintentionally but totally
appropriate for these times, it shows the charm of a smaller
Christmas celebration which we all may need to confine ourselves
to this year.
It has been a truly wonderful experience to work with three of my
former theatre students, Marissa, Danny, and Bryan, as well as the
actors who have been treading the boards in this community. It is
our hope that this show will be a bright part of your holidays since
it certainly has been for ours.

A favorite annual event in Tarpon Springs is the traditional Victorian Christmas
Celebration at the Safford House Museum. The one-day event draws more
than 230 visitors who enjoy the Christmas decorations adorning every room
inside and the outside of the historic landmark. Since the pandemic prevents
the December 2020 event, the “elves of Tarpon Arts” and our volunteers have
beautifully decorated the Safford House, and it is ready to welcome Tarpon
Springs’ residents and visitors for docent-led tours. Come be inspired by the
holiday sparkle, and learn about the history of this grand home and the Safford
family of Tarpon Springs.
