SPIRIT OF AKA

Celebrate the Spirit of AKA during the National AKA Spirit Week

celebrating our incorporation date. See e-blast of themes for each

day during Spirt Week.

Have chapter members break into teams and come up with a song

(with the rhythm of a hit song of choice) about how much you miss

your sisters (meaning inactive Sorors)

Have virtual “Sister” Hour to engage inactive Sorors. • Host a

Sisterhood Speed Meet and Greet Night where inactive members

are paired with active Sorors to learn more about each other

Host tea parties engaging inactive members • Host a Founders’

Day Soiree

Stroll with your Line Sisters or have a fun photo shoot to show

your Pride of the Ivy

Celebrate your chapter pride with signs, banners, and videos

showcasing your chapters activities

Host an AKA T-shirt day

Oldies but Goodies – Show off your oldest AKA t-shirt or other

paraphernalia by displaying it on social media, in your chapter

newsletter or other means of communication.

Host an Ivy Day where you take pictures in an ivy stance, plant an

ivy or gift a soror an ivy themed item.

AKA Virtual BINGO – create a bingo card with AKA history, chapter

fun facts, program target activities and have Sorors submit cards

with “BINGO” comprised of photos representing the blocks that fill

a BINGO row. 5
