Being polite and kind are virtues of an Alpha Kappa Alpha woman. "We help
each other for we know there's no other like our sisterhood." Alpha Kappa
Alpha has exemplified its "Supreme in Service" mantra through ground-
breaking, social-action programs that have brought hope, aid and touched the
lives of many. During the month of September, create fun (virtual) outings that
will encourage sorors to enjoy the uniqueness of one another.

SISTERHOOD & SERVICE

ESO Pretty Pals

DESCRIPTION &
GUIDELINES

JUNE 2020 TO DECEMBER 2020

Goal:

The goal of the ESO Pretty Pals is to facilitate sisterly relations between ESO Sorors of various

ages, professions, and backgrounds. In an effort to cultivate sisterly bonds amongst members,

we ask that Sorors intentionally gather for fun and fellowship and get to know members within

their assigned groups.

Structure:

There are currently 10 ESO Pretty Pals groups with approximately 8 members in each group.
There is no assigned leader and members are responsible for coordinating their own activities.

Rules and Regulations:

ESO Pretty Pals groups will be asked to meet or fellowship once each month. Activities can be
ESO Programs and events, or other non-sorority related events. (Let's get creative) In order to
receive credit for participation, ESO sorors must take a ESO Pretty Pals group photograph at
the event or activity. Any event attended (sorority or non-sorority) where at least Four Sorors
are present is eligible for

1 point.

The ESO Pretty Pals group who attends the most events will be eligible for a special prize at
the end of the year. Sorors that have all 8 members present will receive additional 2 points for
the events. Sorors that have all members present for sorority events and activities will receive 3
points. Must have picture to show all members present and send submissions to
[email protected] to qualify for the points. (Monthly submissions include
photographs and brief summary of event to gain points)

Guidelines:

No Assigned Leader.
Must have 4 Sorors to earn a point.
Each Group must select 1 Chapter meeting as an “Outing”.
Each event or activity can count as 1 point.
If the whole group is in attendance the group earns 3 points.
ESO Pretty Pals starts June 2020 and ends December 2020.
Monthly submissions at end of each month. First submission is July 2020.

Note: AKA business meetings and committee meetings, etc are excluded.

Hello Summer! Hello Heat!
‘I love how SUMMER just wraps its arms around you like a warm
blanket.’ -Kellie Elmore

Hopefully, Summer 2020 has treated you well, you feel rejuvenated, have
enjoyed some rest & relaxation, taken in a bit of the sun, feel renewed and are
ready to launch into FALL! Or, perhaps you want to hold on to the Hot Days of
Summer for as long as you can! But seasons come and seasons go, and
soon the air will begin to feel crisper, dew drops will appear and those
beautiful autumn leaves will begin to fall. As you embrace the new season, be
sure to appreciate each cycle. Because magic can happen during CHANGE!

Goodbye Summer! Hello Fall!
And just like that, Summer fell into FALL...

Did you know? Those born during the summer months tend to have a
positive nature. Known for being easy going and optimistic, those born during
July and August often grow up to be hardworking, ambitious and a little sassy!
