OUR HISTORY

World Islamic Mission

e purpose of World Islamic Mission is to simply unite Muslims to work for the cause of Islam and
to propagate Islam as a way of life to promote of peace and love. Since its formation, through the

exemplary leadership, WIM has been playing a leading role in the development of Islam in many
countries around the world including Canada . Some of its activities include: Da’wah,
construction of mosques and schools, publishing and distributing of the Holy ur’an,
organizing conferences around the world to deal with the issues a ecting Islam, and, most
importantly, providing guidance and spiritual training to Muslims of all ages so that they
may truly understand their purpose of existence.
Purpose in Canada
With the strong conviction of serving only Allah the Almighty and with the ultimate
allegiance to the Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu alayhi wa Sallam, WIM began its
quest in Canada in 1989 to inspire and educate Muslims of all ages.
Since then, WIM Canada (a registered charitable organization) has become well known for
organizing various Islamic conferences across Canada. Highly respected and prominent
scholars from all over the world congregate to impart their knowledge to the Muslims of
Canada to build a more vibrant community.

Mississauga, 25km from downtown Toronto.

Noorhassen Kausim - President
Noorhassen is currently leading World Islamic Mission Canada as the President of the Executive Council. He is a member of the Board of
Directors of World Islamic Mission Canada Inc and plays an active role in the construction sub-committee as well. Noorhassen, as a Fleet
Manager of a leading car rental company, uses his skills to manage the day to day running of the organization. Seasoned with leadership skills,
he is very instrumental in the decision process of the construction project of Masjid Noor-UL-Haram.

Mohamed Farouk - Chairman of Construction Project
Farouk, a highly experienced businessman, is the President and CEO of a Freight Forwarding company with
o ces around the world. He has provided his leadership knowledge and time for several major projects that
have been built in the GTA. As the Chairman of Construction Project of Masjid Noor-UL-Haram, he
brings extensive know-how to the project which fosters intelligent decisions to the bene t of the project and
the organization at the same fold.
Junaid Ahmad Siddique - Senior Vice President
Junaid, a nancial expert, is a member of the Board of Directors of World Islamic Mission Canada
and provides extensive nancial advices to the organization. Junaid is quite involved with the community at
large either for the bene ts of the education of our children or raising concerns regarding alarming issues
a ecting our community.
Abdul Hayee - Vice President
Abdul, Senior Manager , IT company located in Oakville brings tons of marketing expertise to help promoting the project. He is very well
involved with the community in Canada and has been a sublime advocator of cra ing new ways for providing excellent services to the community.

Abdul Ahad Ruhomaun - General Secretary
Abdul Ahad, a professional Project Manager, working as a Senior Solution Architect for a global IT company is the General Secretary of World
Islamic Mission Canada and a member of the Board of Directors. He uses his professional experience and skills to coordinate the projects of the
organization and has been instrumental in the approval process of the building permit.

Billal Jehangeer – Financial Secretary
Billal has the responsibility of ensuring the organization’s nancial funds are strictly managed to maintain su cient cash ows for the
organization’s expenses. His management skills of the nance of the organization has contributed to the high integrity of World Islamic Mission
Canada. A member of the construction sub-committee, he helps to ensure that sound nancial cash ow decisions are made. He is currently
employed with one of the major health institutions in Canada.

Strategically located between Hwy 403 and the QEW Expressway, the property of 10.73 Acres has a
unique beauty and is surrounded by natural greeneries backing onto Joshua Creek. e architectural
design was inspired from Masjid-e-Nabawi of the Holy City of Madina and the name was inspired from
Masjid Al-Haram of Mecca, thus Masjid Noor-UL-Haram.

e plans have been approved and a building permit issued on September 23rd, 2014. Construction,
Insha Allah, will be starting in the rst week of May 2015.
