Scary Virus A Lesson to Learn

Soaring in the air, In Mar 2020 PM Modi announced Lockdown,
Never willing to be fair, It was an emergency which made the whole world frown.
King of all the viruses,
In the shape of a crown, Whatapp was abuzz with reasons for this Pandemic,
Scaring everyone with a tiny little frown. But I believe that it was because of human gimmick.

Forcing us to run, We built factories, made machines, cars and planes,
While they have all the fun, but disturbed ecosystem with our superior brains.

Flying all over the place, In the quest for more and more money and luxury,
With its cheeky li’l face. With nature we played havoc and jugglery.
So, lend your hearts and help us all,
To show these freaks, that we won’t fall. They say Mother Earth has her own healing techniques,
Corona Virus has been one of her way unique.

Lockdown got all cars and factories to a close,
Pollution level of the world began to dive nose.

My parents, who used to tell me: ‘Go out, Play and mingle’
told us to stay at home, aloof and single.

I hope corona has taught us a great lesson,
To adopt natural living as the latest fashion.

Through this school magazine, I urge all my friends,
To protect environment and prevent world’s end.

2020 Blues PIYUSHI KULDEEP TANKSALE, X D

Those were the days
When school felt like school,
As we scramble into our classes

And learn something new.
We ran out in the break,
And our joy knew no limits,
The long canteen line,
And student chitter chatter.
Now I stare at the screen
With chats instead of voices.
I sit at home quite like a shark in a tank
We would howl for games
And would call each other names
And now all I do is study through the dull screen,
With dull chats and dull feelings.

In the mornings we would pray
And children would get their trophies on glistening trays
And now I simply sit at home watching the sky turn grey

and gloomy
We would cheer for pen fights

And compare our heights
Now all I have is my longingness .

In class we would share
We would laugh,
We would play

Now I watch the clock tick by
-Awaiting with a sigh
for a new morrow
