Sequence

To hit a s oftball is pretty easy. First, you hold the bat
above your head with your elbow back. Then, you wait for the
ball to reach close to you. When the ball is at a certain point
you swing and hit the ball. When you swing, you thrust your
hips with the bat. Finally, once you come in c ontact with the
ball make sure you swing all the way through. Then, practice
every day and watch the ball go all the way the outfield.

Description

Softball is a sport that is like baseball but played by girls.
Softball has an outfield, infield, pitcher, and catcher. The softball is
much bigger than the baseball too. When you play softball you have
to wear m outhguards and f acemasks when in the outfield. It
originated from Chicago on Thanksgiving Day of 1887. You use an
aluminum bat to hit the ball. There is slow pitch and fast pitch.

Compare and Contrast

Softball is very similar to baseball. Baseball only uses a
wooden bat and softball can use aluminum bats. Baseball is for boys
and softball is for girls. When they pitch baseball pitches overhand
and softball pitches underhand. When you play baseball there
might be some different rules. I prefer softball but we all have our
differences.

Problem and Solution

So, say you are covering a b ase and the ball is hit to third. Yet
nobody was covering. What do you do? You would yell to the
outfielder. They will run in and get the ball and save the day. Then
after that hopefully they will pay attention next time.

Cause and Effect

When you are up to the bat the pitcher will pitch the ball.
when it's in the s trike zone then you swing. After you make
contact with the ball then the harder you swing the more power it
has coming out into the outfield. Some pitchers that pitch to you
have their own ways. Like say some might be slow pitchers and
some might be fast. Sometimes all they do is pitch opposite of
strikes. Then you will get walked.
