Necrotic Enteritis significantly impacts performance and profitability of broiler production. ZAMBAC MD100 is proven
to prevent and treat Necrotic Enteritis by combating the causative agent Clostridium perfringens.
Numerous studies have shown that bacitracin MD, the active ingredient in ZAMBAC MD100, is highly effective in
reducing C. perfringens infection in the intestine1, thus preventing the onset of Necrotic Enteritis, as seen
by reduced intestinal lesions, reduced mortality and increased performance of broilers .2,3,4
In a further study5, ZAMBAC MD100 was fed to broilers throughout the growing cycle (25 and 50 ppm) and compared
to a Control group (no bacitracin) and Brand A (25 ppm). Feeding ZAMBAC MD100 significantly improved broiler
performance and was similar in response to Brand A (Figures 1–4).

proven to prevent and treat Necrotic Enteritis by combating the causative agent Clostridium perfringens.
Numerous studies and decades of commercial use have shown that zinc bacitracin, the active ingredient in
ZAMBAC ZN150, is highly effective in reducing C. perfringens infection in the intestine and improving FCR,
immune status and heat tolerance1.
In a further study2, zinc bacitracin was fed at 100ppm to layers from 26 to 59 weeks of age under heat stress
conditions (34°C) compared to a Control group (no zinc bacitracin). The study showed that feeding zinc bacitracin
significantly improves layer performance under heat stress conditions (Table 1).

ACTIVE CONSTITUENT 150g/kg Chlortetracycline hydrochloride

ADVANTAGES ZAMICHLOR 150 is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is active against a
wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and selected
rickettsia and protozoa. Chlortetracycline is compatible with a range of other
antimicrobial products.

MODE OF ACTION Chlortetracycline, the active ingredient in ZAMICHLOR 150, is a broad-
spectrum, bacteriostatic agent that inhibits protein synthesis by blocking the
binding of aminoacyl tRNA to the mRNA ribosome complex.

INDICATIONS For the prevention and treatment of systemic diseases in poultry caused by
microorganisms sensitive to chlortetracycline.

ACTIVE CONSTITUENT 10g/kg nosiheptide

ADVANTAGES ZAMITIDE 10 is highly effective against a wide range of gram positive bacteria
and a select range of gram negative bacteria. ZAMITIDE 10 is highly effective
in controlling necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens. ZAMITIDE 10
consistently and reliably increases rate of weight gain and improves the efficiency of
feed utilization.

MODE OF ACTION ZAMITIDE 10 contains nosiheptide, a thiopeptide antibiotic that inhibits the protein
synthesis of target bacteria. Nosiheptide is non-toxic, is not absorbed by the GIT and
has limited cross resistance with other antibiotics.

INDICATIONS Poultry
For the control of necrotic enteritis (caused by Clostridium perfringens Types A and C)
and as an aid in the prevention of necrotic enteritis in broilers and replacement layers.

Necrotic Enteritis (NE) costs the global poultry industry US$6 billion per year due to increased mortality and reduced
feed efficiency. The majority of the economic impact of NE is in the lower production efficiency of those birds who
suffer from disease but survive subclinical NE.1 Subclinical NE has been shown to result in a 12% reduction in body
weight and a 10.9% increase in FCR compared with healthy birds.2
Research shows that enramycin, the active ingredient in ZAMIVET 80, can prevent and treat NE by combating the
causative agent, Clostridium perfringens. This results in improved body weight gain and FCR in broilers when under
Clostridium perfringens challenge.3 In addition, ZAMIVET 80 is a highly potent form of enramycin compared to Brand
A and maintains this potency during extended storage.4
