survival to election monitoring.
To build a Kenya’s dream of a Silicon Savannah, you need coders, having to start at
the bottom, training young people to study computer science and learn to be tomor-
row’s developers in the hope of positioning Nairobi for future digital domination.
The expected primary computing will be a big win to our economy and secure the
future of this country.
Last year, Egypt took a leaf from Kenya’s book and implemented the world’s first
Arabic mobile money transfer system. That should provide a big boost for a country
that has the potential to be among the world's top ten fastest growing economies as
they rebuild their democracy.
We at Xtranet are moving with technology trends to provide platforms that will make
business more secure and easily manageable. We have implemented a system for
New KCC (E-distribution Manager) easing communication and payments processes
between the factory and the farmer.

NCA MOVES TO NEW HIGH-TECH OFFICES

➲Getting To Know…
Recently, NCA has moved into the new KCB building in upper hill in order to create
a conducive environment to carry out their mandate. In light of this Xtranet was XtraProductsŸŸŸXŸXtŸXrtMratŸTraBoCeaSXblroCeeoitnplclaerofuhadeu&roIrbdTinetanyyWnScd&eoinblugVAtiipodpnesso
commissioned to install the Local Area Network which included CCTV, Access Con-
trol, Time Attendance and a Modern IP based PBX system.
The result is a modern network structure that has over 300 points, IP based cameras
including a 360-degree fish-eye camera at the reception with a digital PTZ feature.
The cameras store to a NUUO IP based NVR with enough storage to capture the
camera feeds and a modern analytics software.
The Hundure Access Control system has an in-built time-attendance module that is
able to interface with the NCA HR system to produce reports on attendance and
access to the six doors. NCA has also installed an IP based CISCO BE6000 PBX
system. This system is able to process voice and video calls and features voicemail
to email features. Xtranet also installed a call center complete with attendant con-
soles and wireless headsets for the comfort of the operators.
The PBX, Access control and CCTV systems are all IP based with a capability of coun-
trywide expansion. With this installation, NCA is now in a good position to expand
the solution to a national Unified Communications and Security system covering all
the regional offices.
