Settling into nursery

Molly was learning to recognising numbers using the logs
and chalk. She could confidently recognise 1 and 2.

Molly was touching and counting the crayons using
1:1 correspondence.

Settling into nursery

Molly has settled in great into her new
nursery environment. She is such a happy,
smiley little girl and has already made lots
of friends. Molly can follow all the rules
and routines within the nursery and can put
her puddlesuit on independently for outdoor
play.

On World Book Day the primary one children came to Molly loved her sister Ivy reading her and her
nursery to read some books to the children Molly was so friends a lovely story.
excited to see her sister Ivy and gave her a big cuddle.

Evaluation of term 2

Molly has settled in extremely well in her first
term at nursery. She can follow all the rules
and routines within the nursery with ease.
Molly is beginning to form friendships with

her peers and enjoys many experiences
within the nursery. She particularly enjoys
painting and drawing pictures, playing with
the dolls house and loves to play outdoors on

the slide and on the bikes.

Molly was using the emoji faces to tell everyone

how she was feeling. She said she was happy April - June 2022
because she was at nursery.

Literacy

Bundle 4/3 - listen and respond to who, what, where, when and
why questions.

Making soup 

Molly was able to respond to a variety of who, what, I asked Molly several who, what, why, where questions as Molly was
where, why questions throughout the story. cooking some soup. I asked questions such as what would you stir
your soup with and Molly responded “a spoon” and collected a spoon
from the utensils basket. I also asked molly why we have to be careful
when cooking and a Molly responded “because it is hot”.

to express her feelings and explain in
detail why she feels this way.  Molly can

respond appropriately to who, what,
where, why questions.  She can

recognise numerals to 10 in and around
the nursery and outdoor environment.

Molly is a friendly, caring and happy little
girl. She has formed many friendships
throughout her ante pre school year. I
have loved watching her grow in

confidence during her first few terms of
her early years experience and know
Molly will continue to flourish as she
continues in her learning journey into her
pre school year. Molly enjoys playing on
the climbing frame and on the slide
outside. She also loves to draw and
paint and creating some lovely, detailed
pictures. I am looking forward to being
part of Molly’s pre school year and know
she will continue to thrive.
