ensure 24x7 power availability. Also, bigger fuel tanks are
required. We have supplied the generating sets with 250 lit, 500 lit

It is also essential to provide effective after sales service support to
the units in the field. Our service provider has done a tremendous
job on this front. To further augment our service capabilities, as
the population of our generating sets is increasing, we have
opened our office in Yangoon.
Avinash Gavhane has taken charge of the office. Avinash has a rich

New OEM in Italy for dewatering pumpsets
KOEL’s IBG Team has entered into a supplier partnership with a global OEM for the first time, by securing an order for HA394 air-cooled engines for
dewatering pump sets, as part of the OEM’s plan to enter new markets aggressively with their products. Varisco Srl, a Division of Atlas Copco has
placed their first order for a batch of engines for this purpose. This marks the first such order from a OEM of global repute, as well as the first order
for supply to Italy.
This order will be shipped out to Varisco-Atlas Copco in Q1 of FY-2021.
Going forward, Varsico-Atlas Copco will look to extend their procurement to the HA engines family of HA294, HA494 and
HA694 engines, and also look to add the water-cooed series of engines subsequently. Varisco-Atlas Copco have also evinced interest in emission-
compliant engines for developed markets when KOEL is ready with their product range. The IBG Team looks forward to grow this partnership over
the coming years through supply of products and after-sales support, and create this as a reference for new OEMs to come on board and partner
with KOEL.

KOEL executes bulk order from Vietnam
in record time
On 03rd January 2020 we received Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Power requirement consisting more than 100
Generating sets from our partner DP Consulting Co. Ltd, Vietnam for one of the prestigious rental project in Hanoi,
Vietnam. The power requirement consisted of generating sets range from 20 to 1010 kVA.
Delivery schedule was the most critical factor demanding delivery of generating sets in
Vietnam within 60 days including shipment time from India to Vietnam. In addition to
stringent delivery period, Durability and reliability of the product was vital since the
generating sets will run for 24x7 operation during project execution.
As KOEL is known for willingness to consistently go above and beyond when completing a
task, management decided to participate in this project and committed to meet stringent
delivery schedule. KOEL Sales team submitted detailed proposal post internal discussion with
concerned departments such as SCM, AEPG considering stringent delivery schedule and
technical requirements.
Several discussions between KOEL Senior management and DP Consulting senior
management took place on commercial terms and delivery commitments. On 11th January we
were excited to see that our work with DP Consulting to secure this deal has finally come to
fruition. All departments of KOEL were excited with this confirmation and committed to make
sure to deliver the project within committed time.
While order processing we faced another major challenge when project consultant changed
power requirement in terms in generating set quantities and power ratings. Changes in
ratings, quantities which included ratings which were proto codes made job more difficult but
dedication and hard work of KOEL team made the completion on time possible setting
example of hardworking and change management. The entire execution has been like a race
wherein the generating sets were manufactured and shipped by Kirloskar precisely in
schedule. Whole logistics of generating sets planned and closely monitored to ensure arrival
of generating sets in Vietnam in committed time and last batch of generating set arrived in Vietnam on 13th March
i.e. 2 days earlier than cut off date.
Our Partner DP Consulting appreciated the efforts put in by KOEL’s senior management and all departments involving
Sales, Engineering, Operation, Supply Chain and Logistics in meeting the stringent delivery schedule of this project.
This project boost the confidence of DP Consulting for participating in future projects which are challenging in nature.

Snapshot of training program @ Venezuela
It is a known fact that Venezuela has immersed in huge political and economic problems that have been affecting the
way of living of their people. One of the most affected services is the power grid, having electricity shut downs for
nearly 8 – 10 hours a day. This has become a major issue for the population and people are counting on reliable
Backup Power.
Despite all difficulties our Distributor for Generating Sets, Maquinarias Kovai has been doing enormous work there
overcoming any obstacle to bring energy to their customers. Maquinarias Kovai has played a key role in the region,
providing excellent sales, service and customer support. This has made a big increase in customer confidence to use
and recommend Kirloskar gensets.
KOEL IBG and KOVAI jointly did a visit to Venezuela to spread the word of the Kirloskar Group and KOEL to KOVAI’s
Team.
In February, we had 3 days of Sales and Technical Training for 40 people, including KOVAI Sales and Technical Team
and many of their local Channel Partners. The training was conducted in Spanish. The Primarily goal was getting all
participants acquainted with Kirloskar Group and its Legacy, KOEL Portfolio of products, Kirloskar Green Gensets,
giving emphasis on Quality and Reliability.
A hands-on session with Gensets was held during the last day at KOVAI’s Warehouse. Customers and Channel partners
could test the quality of the products, work on a control panel with the Deep Sea Controller and we had the
opportunity to answer questions regarding warranty, product support, availability and many more.
Working together we will expand brand awareness, customer recognition and increase KOEL presence in Venezuela.
