Volunteer for the Falmouth Hospital Auxiliary
As the word implies, “auxiliary” means help –
and the Falmouth Hospital Auxiliary has helped to support the hospital even before its inception.
Founded in 1957, it was originally a group of dedicated women who worked in all sections of the local towns, actually going door to door to solicit donations from individuals to create our community hospital.
The Falmouth Hospital Auxiliary has never lost sight of its mission to support the Hospital.
They:
• Volunteer in one or more of the various services that were created over the years to assist hospi- tal personnel and patients.
• Manage and staff the Gift Shop and the Thrift Shop, two of the Auxiliary’s most successful fund-raising activities.
• Sponsor various affairs such as concerts, social events, programs by well-known speakers, book fairs and various types of special sales.
•Keep the community informed about the hospital by spreading the word about the mission, the activities and the community services of the hospital.
The Auxiliary Board meets monthly to plan and discuss various activities and to hear guest speakers connected with the hospital explain and comment on what is current
and happening. The Auxiliary has a general meeting for all members to review its actions during the past months. Entertainment, guest speakers and refreshments highlight these meetings.

The Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation
The Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation is a registered charity created to support Cape
Cod Hospital, Falmouth Hospital, the Visiting Nurse Association of Cape Cod, and the people and programs that keep Cape Cod healthy. Whether it’s new buildings, new equipment or new treatments, we raise the funds to make it possible.
Over the past 10 years, we’ve received more than $152 million in charitable donations from individuals and families across the Cape and beyond, and 90 percent of gifts received are under $1,000. This inspiring philanthropy has allowed us to elevate the quality and delivery of care for Cape Cod’s full-time and part-time residents. Your contributions have helped make Cape Cod Healthcare a point of pride for the region and a leader in the state.
Thanks to millions of dollars in charitable gifts from our donors, we have together, trans- formed the delivery of care on Cape Cod. We are indebted to all those who have partnered with us to bring this community the most exemplary healthcare services available. Learn more at www.capecodhealth.org/give.
