BACHELOR OF ARTS IN ENGLISH FOR INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATION (HONS.)
Bachelor of Arts in English for International Communication (Honours) programme
concentrates on the development of language and communication skills. It is designed
to produce graduates who have a high degree of communicative competence in
English and cross-cultural awareness for global communication.
With the various exposure to both linguistic and international communication
disciplines, this course also aims to broaden students’ international
experience through student exchange programmes and various
cross-cultural activities. The pool of local and international lecturers
opens the possibility for a more interactive approach and increase
internationalization experience for students.

OBJECTIVES OF PROGRAMME

The objective of this programme is to produce
ethical professionals who can communicate
e ectively and work collaboratively in various
professional settings.

The Academic Requirements for Admission into BA The general academic requirements for admission into
ENCOM programme of IIUM are as follows: undergraduate degree programmes of IIUM are:

1 A Pass at the SPM level or equivalent with at 1 At least three (3) principal passes (minimum grade D) in

“C” grade in “Pendidikan Islam” / “Tasawwur 2 Other quali ications that are recognized by the Senate
Islam” / ”Pendidikan Al-Qur’an & As-Sunnah” /
”Pendidikan Syariah Islamiah of the University equivalent to the above.
“C” grade in Sejarah
“C” grade in any two (2) other subjects LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

AND The candidate must present the score as required in TOEFL
or IELTS as stated below:

MINIMUM TOEFL Paper Based: 550
with a CGPA of 3.00 recognized by the SCORE (ACADEMIC) Computer Based: 213
Government of Malaysia and approved by the Internet Based: 79

A Pass with a CGPA of 3.00 or above in STPM Band 6.0 (WRLS)

AND MINIMUM EPT 6.5 Overall Minimum

MINIMUM APT Band 2
English Test” (MUET) SCORE
