Boys Cross Country

Most Improved Award - Never having cracked the top seven
through most of his entire career, he stepped up as a senior in his
last month to push his team to the county and conference
championships. He finished as Kingsway’s 2nd runner at the state
championships, earning All-Conference honors and will be
running at Widener next year.

Unsung Hero Award - Known primarily as the defending
national champion in the racewalk, he was called upon during
the team’s annual postseason push to fill holes created by injury
and graduation. He ran himself into Kingsway’s top seven to help
the team qualify for the state championships again. He will be
competing at Cornell University next year.

Girls Cross Country

Coach's Award - Starting the season as one of the top returning
runners in South Jersey, she unfortunately sustained an injury
that took away most of her season. However, her steady
leadership helped support younger girls who were forced to step
up and fill the void created by her absence. She will be competing
next year at the University of South Carolina.

Unsung Hero Award - Winning five straight South Jersey

championships has produced many household names in the cross

country world for Kingsway, and this young lady quietly worked

her way up throughout her career to become a major contributor

to those last few titles. An All-Conference runner, she ran one of

the faster times in South Jersey. 11

Football

Offensive Player of the Year - As a four-year starter, this player
embodies the principles of a Kingsway Football Player. His hard
work and determination have set him apart as he heads to Temple

competitive student-athletes our school has ever known compiling
amazing statistics over the last four years as a QB, WR, RB, and
DB. Truly a remarkable athlete.

Defensive Player of the Year - This player had his breakout
season in 2019 leading our team in tackles (62), while also
compiling (8) sacks, (7) TFL's, and (5) FF and (1) FR. While his
effort and off-season work ethic prepared him to be at his best, he
encouraged his teammates to maximize their own potential. He
leads by the example that he sets as a competitor, and we look
forward to seeing his continued career as a student-athlete at
Kean University.

Boys Wrestling

Most Outstanding Wrestler Award - This wrestler finished his
high school career as a 3-time NJ State Place winner and a State
Finalist. He also placed in multiple national tournaments, to
include: Beast of the East, NHSCA and Escape the Rock. He is
the third most accomplished wrestler in Kingsway Wrestling
history and he will be continuing his college career on a full
scholarship at Rider University.

Coach's Award - This wrestler is the epitome of a team player.
After being a region finalist as a sophomore, he wrestled up a
weight class during his junior year because that’s what best
served our team. While this hindered him in regards to his
individual performance, it was critical to our team winning a
Group IV State Championship. Deservedly so, he was the last
bout of that match and his win clinched the team victory over
Phillipsburg, who was the 5X reigning champion. With his wrist
not nearly 100% healed from a car accident, he took the mat in
the state finals, on top of the pain his wrist was causing him, he
also dislocated his finger one minute into the match. Through a
great deal of physical pain, his mental toughness allowed him to
grind his way to a victory without taking an injury time during
the final five minutes. As a coach, it was one of the gutsiest and
most selfless performances I’ve ever seen.

dedicated teammate and hard worker and we wish her nothing
but the best in her future!

worked hard to develop his craft. He has always been open to
instruction and constructive criticism. He set an example for the

and hard work.
