J.R.S.O. Newsletter

April 2023 Newsletter - Meet our new officers.

J.R.S.O. Newsletter April 2023 Fenwick Primary School and Early Childhood Centre would like to introduce to you our Junior Road Safety Officers. Junior Road Safety Officers are a very important part of the School and E.C.C. as they help raise road safety awareness and promote road safety issues to everyone in the School, E.C.C. and the wider community.

The children who have been chosen to be in the JRSO had to complete an application form. Here are some quotes from their forms. Callum ‘I feel that safety is everything for Fenwick Primary and we need to do more to keep pupils safe.’ Rory ‘I would be really keen because I’m not happy with the cars parking on the street because that is a big hazard to the children in our school.’ James ‘To ensure everyone knows what road safety is.’ Laird ‘I want to help people be safe.’ Amelia ‘I would like to make the school safer.’ Duncan ‘To make people aware of the dangers.’ Our group will now organise a competition for the school where each child will have the chance to design a logo/mascot/character for road safety. They will visiting the classes to speak to the children next week, about the competition. Mr Houston and the JRSOs will decide on the winning entry which will be used on our JRSO noticeboard and any further communication from our group. Thank you.
