to inventions. All the novelties at this exhibition can only be shown here once. (https://inventions-geneva.ch/en/home/)
The Exhibition was supposed to be held from March 25th – 29th 2020. Due to epidemic of Coronavirus 2019
(COVID-19), The Exhibition is postponed to March 10th – 14th 2021 at Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland

ment: Challenges and Opportunities - International Student Competition was planned to be held on June
15th – 19th, 2020, in Moscow, Russian Federation but due to COVID-19 pandemic was cancelled and
deferred to 2022.

Theme of Exchange program : River Utilization and Water Qualification

Highlight Activity: Field trip for joint project on the topic of
“Biodiversity in Loei River: the riverdetective”, had a goal to explore
the water quality and to educate about the river utilization and
water qualification. Loei river was the source of tap water produc-
tion for citizen in Chiangkhan. The students were divided into 9
groups to observe the physical and biological parameters for
identifying the quality of Loei river at Kang Mee area. The tiny
samples were collected to the lab while some pictures were taken
instead to maintain the ecosystem almost the same. All young
scientists could learn and share their ideas and the discussion
about “What does stream flow tell us?” was conducted. Of course,
they enjoyed walking in the river on a day of 9 degree Celsius!

Mr.Kittichai Kruaithong, the principal of princess Chulabhorn Science
High School Loei assigned the vice principal Mr.Seksan Tasee along
with Ms.Wiriya Tasee, a chemistry teacher and Ms.Daranee Chaiyaveij,
the MOU coordinator led 15 students in grade 10-12 to participate in
annual learning exchange activities “SAKURA Science Plan 2019”, which
was held by Shizuoka Kita High School. The theme of exchange program
was “Infrastructure derived from disaster by water resource”

The Scholarship for Students from Princess Chulabhorn Science
High School for an Enrollment at the National Institute of Technology
(KOSEN), Japan, 3Rd Generation of Academic Year 2020

In the academic year 2019, Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Loei has announced the recruit-
ment and conducted entrance examinations for the students of Grade 8th. In the academic year 2018, 4 stu-
dents are selected as a representative of the school to participate in the selection examination to receive schol-
arships for students of Princess Chulabhorn Science High School for an enrollment at the National Institute of
Technology (KOSEN), Japan, academic year 2020 In the first round of selection, 4 students will be nominated to
represent on behalf of the school to attend the Science and Japanese Academic Camp to prepare for the actu-
al examination in Japan. Between 2-5 March 2019, at Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Chonburi, 48
students from Princess Chulabhorn Science High Schools nationwide representing their respective schools had
attended the academic camp. Students who are qualified for the first round representing Princess Chulabhorn

After attending the academic camp at Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Chonburi, the second
interview examination will commence to assess the knowledge, interest and attitude of all 48 students at the
Office of the Basic Education Commission to select the remaining 2 students per school, a total of 24 students
to attend the Admission Test and Summer Camp activities during 28th July - 3rd August 2019 at Sendai KOSEN,

A joint Summer Camp and Academic Workshop will be provided
with a written examination and an interview afterward. The writ-
ten examination is the subject of chemistry, physics and mathe-
matics subjects in English and to test the proficiency of student’s
Japanese. Lastly, there will be an interview by Japanese teachers at
each KOSEN institute to assess attitudes, interests, and knowledge
about studying engineering, including interviews with English and
Japanese proficiency.

After participation in the Admission Test and Summer Camp
activities in Japan, the government of Japan announced the results
of the entrance examination to award 12 scholarships, in which it ap-
pears that Mr. Methaphat Siriwal, Mathayomsuksa 2/3, student of Prin-
cess Chulabhorn Science High School Loei was selected to receive a
scholarship to study at the National Institute of Technology (KOSEN),
Japan, academic year 2020 for a period of 5 years supported by the
Thai government and the Japanese government throughout the course.

Scholarship for an admission to KOSEN Institute of KING MONGKUT’S
INSTITUTE of TECHNOLOGY LADKRABANG Mechatronics Course,
2nd Generation, Academic Year 2020

KOSEN Institute of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology
Ladkrabang, KOSEN Institute, KMITL, KOSEN-KMITL, accepted
applications from students who were graduating in the third year
at the secondary school of academic year 2020 nationwide to
receive the scholarships to study at the King Mongkut’s Institute of
Technology Ladkrabang, offering mechatronics courses with 24
scholarships granted. In the first and second round of the selective
examination in collaboration with Mahidol Wittayanusorn School and
Princess Chulabhorn Science High School, the test will be in form of a
written test on science and mathematics subjects. The final round will
be an interview test in English and Japanese in terms of interests and
attitudes towards engineering. Fortunately, the student of Princess
Chulabhorn Science High School Loei passed the first and second
round of the written examination. Successively being 6 students out
of 100 students that passed the selection for the final examination
(interview) were as follows;

Mathayomsuksa 3/1 at Princess Chulabhorn Sci-
ence High School Loei was selected to receive
a scholarship to enroll at the KOSEN Institute
of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Lad-
krabang in Mechatronics Program, 2nd Gener-
ation, Academic Year 2020, for 5 years support-
ed by the Thai Government and the Japanese

Scholarships for participating

in the English Language Development and Preparation
Program for IELTS at the University of Otago Language Center
in New Zealand. Academic Year 2019

The Excellence in Science Education Bureau, Office of the Basic
Education Commission has announced the selection of Grade 11th
students for the English Development and IELTS Preparation Scholarship at
the University of Otago Language Center at Dunedin, New Zealand offering
6 scholarships in the academic year 2019 between March 15th - April 11th,
totaling for 5 weeks. Each of Princess Chulabhorn Science High Schools will
have the sole authority to nominate one qualified student to represent their
school, totaling 12 students from 12 schools. Nominated students will be
assessed through an interview in English by the Excellence in Science
Education Bureau to finalize the 6 students to be granted the scholarship for
this program.
After the interviewing process has commenced and ended,
the Excellence in Science Education Bureau, Office of the Basic Education
Commission has announced that Miss Sudarat Sakulsri, the student and the
representative of Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Loei, has been
selected and finalized to participate in the English Development and IELTS
Preparation Program at the University of Otago Language Center at Dunedin,
New Zealand; in the academic year 2019 between March 15th - April 11th,
totaling of 5 weeks subsidized by the Thai government throughout the program.

Thailand - Japan Game Programming
HACKATH ON 2019 (The Preliminary Round)

12 Princess Chulabhorn Science High Schools had orga-
nized Thailand - Japan Game Programming HACKATHON 2019
supported by Japan International Cooperation Agency or JICA.

The aim was to enhance teachers and students of
programming and computer skills.

The competition theme was to encourage teachers and
students to invent or create software and programming. They were
assigned the problems. They needed to work together, shared
their ideas to be selected as the representatives to the final round
for “TJ -SSF2019” at Princess Chulabhorn Science High School
Mukdahan.
Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Loei was
hosting the preliminary round in Thailand on October 5th- 9th, 2019
at Chaofah Hall, Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Loei
and there were 48 grade 10 students from 12 Princess
Chulabhorn Science High School had participated in this
program.
