• IES created history at the MUN organized by the GD
GOENKA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, SURAT from 27th to
29th August 2021.

• The delegation of IES Kuwait comprised of 15 immensely
talented delegates who also, was awarded with the ‘Best
delegation’ to take part in the MUN, a feat achieved by
them for the first time ever in an MUN organized outside
Kuwait.

Leadership Training Programme for Principals

All India Bhavan's Principals' training programme on
Pedagogical Leadership was organized by Bhavan's
Research and Development Centre, Bharatiya Vidya
Bhavan Kochi Kendra on 28th & 29th August 2021 on
the virtual platform. 68 Principals from India and
abroad participated in the training programme.

College Mumbai, for teachers of
Foundational years was held on
22nd,23rd and 24th March 2021.
The workshop attended by 650
teacher delegates from across the
country and Middle East was
educative, enriching, and an
astounding success.

Bhavan's Royal Institute of Management, Thiruvankulam
conducted a Management Development Programme
titled 'Leader for Tomorrow'.
This programme was designed and developed under the
broad ambit of enhancing the effectiveness of
management through leadership competencies. An
acclaimed corporate trainer, Sri. G. Balachandran,
handled the high impact session on leadership traits and
practices which would enable the mid-level managers to
push their careers up in a swift and steady manner.

Managing Exam Anxiety

To help the students understand and successfully
manage their exam stress, our school virtually organized
a webinar on ‘Managing Exam Anxiety’ for grades 10
and 12 on Oct 21st 2021. The resource person for the
session was the counsellor of the school, Ms. Preethi K.
Nair who spoke at length on exam anxiety, symptoms of
anxiety, the factors causing exam anxiety, negative
thinking, different learning styles, dealing with
distractions and procrastination, the importance of
staying focused, planning, microplanning, the
importance of regular studies etc. The students were
also encouraged to share their experiences with the
gathering and ask questions to the resource person who
also shared the details of the CBSE career guidance
portal with the audience.

Bhavans IES • In the wake of Covid-19, when children were

the teachers of IES.

Crucial points which required immediate attention
and support from the parents , the need for and
importance of parents to spend quality time,
discussing daily happenings, encouraging their
wards to use technology in a smart and useful
manner were put across. Moreover, the steps
taken by the school to meet parents regularly to
address the issues which required immediate
attention were informed.

Interschool Debate Competition

The young debaters of IES, Kuwait, put in an impressive performance at
‘Brothers J.G Masterson and Brother C.J Bergin Interschool Debate’ that
was organised by St. George’s College, Barlowganj, Mussoorie, India. In the
preliminary rounds, Jerome John Thomas bagged the Best Speaker Award
and Srihari Badrinarayanan was selected as the ‘Most Promising Speaker’.
The team reached the semi-final and Lakshmi Sahiti was the Overall Best
Speaker in the Semifinal. Jerome John Thomas was the Overall Best
Speaker in the competition.

Once Again IES Stood from the Rest in
‘Spin - A - Yarn'

To encourage the student community,

October 6, 2021. The sibling duo of IES,

IES Joins Anthology • Anthology of poems: Around the World is
of Poems-Around organised by DPS Gurgaon India with an
the World aim to fulfil some aspects of Sustainable
