Washington Visit Spouse Schedule

SUNDAY JUNE 2, 2019 BLOK Monument Bus Tour- (Casual attire to include shorts and flip flops
6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. This is a fun evening to include spouses and kids.
MONDAY JUNE 3, 2019
10:45 a.m. -11:45 a.m. BLOK - Chief of Staff Panel in U.S. Capitol Building followed by an hour-long tour of
Capitol, if RSVP’d – Senate LBJ Room
6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Sara’s husband, Joe Blubaugh, will escort BLOK guests from the hotel to the Capitol via
metro. Leave the hotel lobby at 9:45 a.m.) (business casual spouses)
TUESDAY JUNE 4, 2019
6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Afternoon on your own

Potomac River Boat Cruise for all Bankers and Guests–
Dinner and beverages included. Tickets are $125 per person. (KBA purchases BLOK
Class tickets only)
Departure location is 580 Water Street SW, Washington, DC 20024.
Please plan to be at the marina by 6:40 p.m. to allow yourself enough time to get
your ticket and board. Boat departs promptly at 7:00 pm., returns at 10:00 pm.
(Business Casual- Slacks and golf shirt for the guys and sun dress or capri pants for the
ladies. A little nicer than the capitol tour but not super dressed up- I wear something
that I might wear to a friend’s wedding)

Day on your own

Federal Affairs Reception (Business Attire- coat and tie for men and business suits or
nice cocktail dresses for the ladies. There are beautiful food stations placed around
the room. Some people stand at tall boy tables or they sit at various small tables
around the room. It is conversational.

WEDNESDAY JUNE 5, 2019 National Cathedral Tour and Lunch
10:30 am - 2:30 p.m. Spouse event planned by Susan Donnelly, wife of KBA Chairman Chris Donnelly.
Lunch will be at Silver located at 3404 Wisconsin Ave., NW (EatAtSilver.com)
6:30 p.m. followed by National Cathedral Tour - This event is $40/person.
Please plan to meet in the lobby and depart via charted bus promptly at 10:30 a.m.
We will have an early lunch at Silver then shuttle a short distance to the National
Cathedral. After the hour-long tour we will shuttle back to the hotel. You are welcome
to break away at any time. We should be back at approximately 2:30 p.m. (Business
casual, again you’ll see lots of golf shirts for the gentlemen and sun dresses, capri
pants or slacks on the ladies. Not casual enough for shorts but not dressed up either)

BLOK Optional Dinner at The Hamilton & walk to Trump International Hotel (1100
Pennsylvania Ave. NW; Washington, DC (business casual) (Dutch treat)
