Academic Resource Center and Writing Center - Student Rundown

Academic Resource Center and Writing Center:
1:30-5:00pm M-Th, 2nd Floor of the Library

Mission Statement:
The Academic Resource Center exists to provide academic resources to students in the form of tutoring, both individual
and group sessions, and writing review and oversight. The Center also aids in promoting a healthy, encouraging, and

curious academic atmosphere that attempts to bring together the LPU community in serving Christ through the
dedication and transformation of the mind.

Available Resources:
è Individual Tutoring: We welcome walk-in visits during our open hours, or you can book
an appointment for tutoring at http://lifepacific.edu/academic-resource-center. We
welcome students that need help in any subject, but particularly the General Education
classes.
è Group Tutoring: Group tutoring will be held at standard times weekly for both Biblical
Languages and Exegesis (BLE) and Cultures of Ancient Civilizations. Cultures – Fridays
from 10:20-11:10am; BLE – Fridays from 2:10-3:00pm in the ARC
è Writing Oversight: The Writing Center welcomes papers that need a look-over in terms
of form, content, and style. Please submit your paper to [email protected] at least 48
hours before its due date, and we will be in contact to make an appointment with you
to talk about your paper. If you need help starting your essay and structuring it, we also
welcome walk-ins and appointments! Please visit http://lifepacific.edu/academic-

è Workshops/Seminars: These will be held throughout the year and be focused on
academic skills and habits. More information to come on these as the semester settles in.
