เช่น He saw himself in the mirror. (He และ himself เป็นคนเดยี วกนั )

She talked to herself. (She และ herself เป็ นคนเดยี วกนั )
2) ใช้ self แสดงการเน้น (emphatic) เม่ือต้องการเน้นประธานของ
ประโยค จะวาง self ไว้หลงั ประธานหรือวางไว้ท้ายประโยคก็ได้
เช่น He himself saw the accident.
= He saw the accident himself.
เมื่อต้องการเน้นคาอ่ืน ต้องวางไว้ตดิ กบั คานนั้ ๆ
We talked to the principal himself. (เราพดู กบั ตวั อาจารย์ใหญ่เอง
เลย (ไม่ได้พดู กบั คนอ่ืน)
