FAKULTI PENGURUSAN DAN PEMBANGUNAN SUMBER MANUSIA

1. PENGENALAN

Latihan praktikum ini dilaksanakan pada semester akhir pengajian bagi setiap pelajar
Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pendidikan TESL (BTESL) dan Diploma Pendidikan TESL (DTESL)
yang mendaftar sebagai pelajar sepenuh masa di Management & Science University.
Latihan praktikum merupakan pelengkap bagi program akademik pelajar tersebut dan
melayakkannya menduduki peperiksaan akhir bagi mendapatkan Ijazah Sarjana Muda
dengan kepujian dan Diploma dalam jurusan ini.

2. OBJEKTIF

Melalui program praktikum ini, diharapkan pelajar akan dapat:

(i) memupuk sikap positif, meningkatkan daya ketahanan diri serta mengamalkan
nilai-nilai professional keguruan;

(ii) membina daya suai, daya tahan, daya saing dan daya cipta;
(iii) meningkatkan kemahiran memerhati, keperihatinan dan kepekaan terhadap

murid/pelajar;

(iv) menyesuaikan diri dengan budaya sekolah;
(v) menyepadukan teori dengan amali pengajaran pembelajaran;
(vi) menguasai strategi pengajaran;
(vii)mengenalpasti dan menyelesaikan masalah pengajaran dan pembelajaran dan

seterusnya memperkembangkan potensi mereka sebagai guru; dan

(viii)membuat renungan dan penilaian kendiri dalam semua aspek tugas guru.

3. PROSEDUR PELAKSANAAN

i) Syarat
Pelatih layak menjalani Praktikum setelah menyempurnakan tempoh kerja-kursus
yang diwajibkan.

ii) Penempatan
Penempatan pelatih dibuat secara pemuafakatan di antara MSU dan sekolah
(kerajaan / swasta), pusat latihan / badan korporat / industri dengan persetujuan
Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri (JPM / Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia / badan
korporat / industri yang berkenaan.

iii) Tempoh
Tempoh perlaksanaan praktikum ialah 16 minggu (2 minggu pencerapan dan 14
minggu latihan mengajar)

iv) Bilangan Waktu Mengajar
(a) Minimum 8 waktu seminggu
(b) Maksimum 12 waktu seminggu

v) Bilangan Penyeliaan
(a) Penyeliaan hendaklah berasaskan pencerapan klinikal atau pengajaran
bilik darjah.
(b) Bimbingan berterusan MESTI diamalkan sepanjang praktikum.
(c) Penilaian hanya dibuat selepas bimbingan diberikan.
(d) agihan penyeliaan adalah seperti berikut: Pensyarah Pembimbing: 2 kali
(20%). Pembimbing pusat latihan / sekolah / industri: 2 kali (20%)
(e) Jika guru pelatih didapati masih gagal dalam penyeliaan kedua,
penyeliaan ketiga akan dilaksanakan oleh pensyarah pembimbing.

vi) Peranan dan Tanggungjawab Pelatih
(a) Menghadiri taklimat praktikum
(b) memahami dan menghayati objektif praktikum.
(c) berbincang dengan pensyarah pembimbing dan pembimbing pusat
latihan / industri / sekolah untuk mencapai persefahaman tentang
peranan dan tanggungjawab semasa praktikum.
(d) membina hubungan professional dengan pengurus dan pembimbing
sekolah / pusat latihan / industri serta staf lain.
(e) menghantar pada minggu pertama senarai tugas, jadual waktu, takwim
sekolah / pusat latihan / industri dan maklumat – maklumat lain kepada
MSU.
(f) Mematuhi dan mengamalkan etika keguruan, peraturan sekolah, pusat
latihan / industri.
(g) Hadir di sekolah / tempat latihan / industri sepanjang tempoh praktikum.
(h) Menandatangani borang / buku kehadiran setiap hari praktikum dan
aktiviti anjuran sekolah / pusat latihan / industry serta peraturan yang
ditetapkan oleh Komiti Praktikum MSU.

persediaan mengajar.

pengajaran mengikut bilangan waktu mengajaryang telah ditetapkan.

(l) Merancang pengajaran bersama-sama pembimbing.
(m) Melaksanakan pengajaran individu dengan mempelbagaikan strategi

pengajaran-pembelajaran.
(n) Mengamalkan dan melengkapkan penulisan refleksi/jurnal sepanjang

praktikum berdasarkan garis panduan penulisan jurnal.
(o) Melibatkan diri dalam membantu pengendalian sekurang-kurangnya

SATU aktiviti ko-kurikulum.
(p) Mengusahakan untuk sekurang-kurangnya pengendalian SATU projek

sekolah.
(q) Meneruskan penyediaan portfolio praktikum yang merangkumi buku

rekod, buku log, kompilasi penulisan refleksi/jurnal, kompilasi alat-
alat bantuan mengajar dan kompilasi laporan projek secara
konsisten dan menyerahkan kepada pensyarah pembimbing sebaik
sahaja tamat praktikum.
