WHAT IS THE LOOP?

The Loop at Pine + Ocean is a 7,700 square foot interactive playground in Downtown Long Beach that blends art
and public space to bring much-needed activation to one of the busiest intersections in Long Beach. Reaching
heights up to 25 feet, the eye-catching 500-foot long truss undulates throughout the site and incorporates LED
lighting and audio, radiating each night with an immersive display of light and sound.

ABOUT THE LONG BEACH DDC

The Loop was developed by the Long Beach Downtown Development Corporation (DDC) in partnership with
the DLBA, the City of Long Beach and Vice Mayor Suja Lowenthal, and designed by the team of STEREO.BOT,
Gensler and Brightview. The DDC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the stimulation of public
and private investment, community partnerships and resources to support the revitalization of Downtown Long
Beach. The DDC is responsible for the operation, programming, and maintenance of the space.
