Terengganu State Museum Complex
The State Museum Complex located in Kampung Bukit Losong hosts the original
Inscripted Stone which was discovered in 1303 in Kampung Buluh, Hulu
Terengganu. The dicovery of the Inscripted Stone is proof that Terengganu
is one of the earliest state that utilises Islamic Law. This Museum
Complex is considered as one of the most beautiful from its architectural
structure which was inspired from the old castle in Terengganu.
Within an area of 27 hectares, this museum complex also have a petroleum
gallery, islamic gallery, tradisional malay houses and two ships which are the
Kemajuan Ship and the Sabar Ship which was once a symbol of pride for sailors
back then.

are refurbished modern concrete buildings.

Copper Crafts
Manufacture Copper is one of the famous handicrafts
in Terengganu and represents a part of the culture and
identity of traditional Malay society. The technique of
making copper products is still maintained despite the
use of some new equipment introduced. Most of the
manufacturing process is still handmade with a certain
method of mixing copper and alloys.
Batik
Terengganu is known as the largest producer of batik, from
traditional versions of stamped sarongs to hand-painted batik.
Painted batik is more western and liberal with the use of patterns
and color mixing, traditionally inspired from the elements of

Kampung Pasir Gajah
The River Terrapin Conservation Centre is located
at Kg. Pasir Gajah, Kemaman, Terengganu. It is

of a hatchery for incubation of terrapin eggs, a
head-starting pond, and a Mini Turtle Gallery that

This mosque was built in 1939, not long after the village
was first established. The construction was done hand

The fireflies of Yak Yah River or scientifically known
as “Photuris Lucicrescens” (Lightning Bug), are
the largest firefly habitat in Malaysia. Sungai Yak

take a boat ride on the Yak Yah River jetty. These

Is an island near the coast of Terengganu beach which is a
very special place to be visited. This island only have one sandy
beach side which is the one facing the mainland.
Tenggol Island is the southernmost island in Terengganu which
is on the outskirt of Dungun beach. This island is a local hotspot
for scuba diving because it is rich with reserved marine life. The
discovery of shark whale also contributes to the Tenggol Island’s

Kampung Delong is the main location for this species
of Northern River Terrapin (Batagur Baska) to lay eggs.
Terrapins are not like turtles, because turtles lay eggs
more than five times a year with more than 100 eggs,
while terrapins only lay eggs in February and March with
only about 40 eggs.

Bukit Tebuk which is located in Kampung Nibong,
Dungun, is the first hill in Malaya to be drilled and turned
into rail routes carrying iron ore through traditional
villages from Bukit Besi to Port Sura to export iron ores

were later replaced with roads to allow locals to use
them as alternative routes.

is to preserve the forest and maintain the “home” to the
orphaned elephants that live within. Visitors who stop by

entrance is situated 40 meters above the water surface.

formation of the stalactites and stalagmites in the
cave. The interesting discovery inside the Gua Bewah
which is a skeleton of a prehistoric human who is
dubbed as “Bewah Man” and is believed to be the
oldest human skeleton ever to be found across the
country, as well as other primitive artifacts that were
used during the Stone Ages such as
