MVC PARENT VOLUNTEER GUIDE

WELCOME

We are so excited that you are interested in helping Monte Vista
Christian School! We have many opportunities throughout the
school year for you to donate your time and talents.

WHERE CAN I VOLUNTEER?

MVC offers a variety of options for volunteering. We have opportunities
throughout the year. Here are some opportunities to consider:

ATHLETICS

Are you interested in helping with our Athletic program? We are always
looking for volunteers to help with our concession stands and entry
gates. We are also always looking for Team Parents to help coordinate
information, team dinners, end of year celebrations, and senior
recognition nights. If you are interested in volunteering with Athletics,

FINE ARTS

The Fine Arts Department would love to have your help! We are always
looking for volunteers to help with productions, to work the box
office/concession stand, to help with costumes and props - and so
much more. If you are interested in helping in Fine Arts, contact
Morgan Perez at [email protected].

ON-CAMPUS EVENTS

From decorating the quad for fall or the holidays to helping with Open
Houses for prospective families to assisting with other on-campus
events, we have many opportunities for you. We ask for help through
our weekly e-newsletter, the Mustang Flyer, so be sure to take a look at
the Flyer here or in your in-box each week.

OFF-CAMPUS EVENTS

Does chaperoning a school event sound like your perfect opportunity to
volunteer? We have that opportunity for you! The Mustang Flyer will
have all volunteer opportunities for off-campus events including
chaperoning field trips, so be sure to check the Flyer each week.

TIME DONATION

If you are looking to volunteer, that is
music to our ears. We will have many
opportunities for you to help out at MVC.
These opportunities will be posted in the
Mustang Flyer each week and a link will be
given to the Mustang Network where you
can sign up for the activity with which you
would like to help.

SERVICE DONATION

Do you have a business that offers services
the school could utilize? Thank you for

ATHLETIC MONETARY DONATIONS

The Mustang Club is the perfect place to make a monetary donation to support the
28 different sports that MVC offers students. The donations will be used to
support all sports teams, equipment, facilities, coach development, and training.

FINE ARTS MONETARY DONATIONS

Patrons of the Fine Arts is the perfect place to donate to the arts. MVC’s
award-winning Fine Arts program provides students with outstanding
opportunities to discover and develop their God-given gifts, talents, and
creativity. Donations support programming, equipment, instruments, supplies,
and faculty professional development for instrumental and vocal music,

BUSINESS SPONSORSHIP

If you are part of a business or know of a business that is looking to advertise,
please think of MVC. Over 18,000 people visit our school each year for
athletics and fine art events alone. We offer many different packages with
an array of advertising on our campus, our social media pages, and our

GENERAL MONETARY DONATIONS

To make a general donation to MVC, you can give online or via postal
mail, international wire transfer, and/or appreciated securities.

WHERE DO I FIND... THE MUSTANG FLYER

We send this to current families each week via email. You
can also access the Flyer on our website (under Quicklinks
on the homepage).

To find the most up to date events for the school along

HOW DO I...

GET LIVE SCANNED

In order to volunteer you will need to be live scanned.
Volunteers who are on-campus and will be in close
proximity to students must be FBI/DOJ background
checked via the Live Scan process. It requires a form
that you will be able to get from either the head of the
activity or the Business Office. It needs to be filled out
with your basic information and taken to a local Live
Scan location (typically your local UPS store). Once
clearance is received, a volunteer can begin.

PURCHASE SUPPLIES

Some of our events require supplies. While
volunteers are rarely asked to purchase supplies,
your MVC staff contact is the one who will be able to
complete the purchasing process on your behalf/as
your representative while interfacing with our
Business Office.

SIGN UP FOR VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

You will find information about upcoming volunteer
opportunities in the Mustang Flyer each Thursday. To
sign up to actually volunteer, you will need to click on
the link provided to the Mustang Network. Be sure to
join the Mustang Network - an intranet for all MVC
parents & alumni - so you can sign up for a wide variety
of volunteer opportunities.
