Sekolah Bogor Raya Covid-19
Prevention and Management Task Force

In March 2020 through circular letter No 4 of 2020, the Minister of Education and Culture of the
Republic of Indonesia, Nadiem Makarim issued an appeal for schools to close on-campus learning and
replace it with online learning related to the increasingly widespread of the covid-19 virus in Indonesia.

This month, marks two years since we have held online learning as part of complying with government
regulations and preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the school environment.

We always try our best to provide a commitment to the quality of education while prioritizing the health
and safety of all members of the SBR community. SBR understands that school plays an important role in
the well being of students, families and its broader communities and every school should be a health
promoting school. SBR followed up on and responded to new challenges faced by schools during the
pandemic by forming a COVID-19 task force which was later called as Satgas Covid-19 SBR. Sekolah
Bogor Raya's Covid-19 Task Force collaborates and coordinates with related parties including Satgas
Kelurahan, Kecamatan and Kota Bogor, and hospitals/clinics providing isolation room services for
COVID-19 patients.

There have been many new programs and activities that have been undertaken by the SBR Covid-19
task force over the past two years, these efforts include:

In collaboration with the nearest kelurahan, obtain vaccine services for doses 1 and 2 for secondary
school students,
Coordinate with the health office and cooperate with hospitals to obtain vaccine services for doses 1
and 2 for kindergarten and elementary school students,
Coordinate with the Bogor City Health Office to obtain booster vaccine services for all SBR
employees, both teaching, non-teaching or outsourced.
Develop SOPs and health protocols that are used as the main reference in carrying out all activities
during the pandemic
Conducting routine antigen tests for all SBR staff
Ensure that all supporting facilities in implementing health protocols are available with very good
quality, one of which is ensuring that all rooms are sterilized after use, providing hand washing
facilities, hand sanitizers, signage, etc.
Educate all staff about the protocol for working in the office during the pandemic
Provide psychological assistance for employees and students or families who are in isolation due to
exposure to the COVID-19 virus.

We believe that Health Promoting Schools are everyone’s business. Therefore it requires multi
stakeholder engagement, engagement among all Sekolah Bogor Raya community members, and we
thank you all for the very strong engagement we have.

6 Tips On How To Play With Your Baby Or Toddler

Dear Parents,
A s we all know, SBR does not only provide services for children from kindergarten to high school, but
we also have programs ranging from 2-4 years age group level to learn and play. Therefore, I would like
to share some strategies for you to be able to facilitate learning through play with your child at home.

Your baby or toddler can be your perfect source for play ideas. Any activity can be fun for young
children, and any type of play will allow them to acquire new skills. As a parent, you are your child’s
favorite playmate.

Here are our top tips on how to make play fun for you and your child:

K1 students learn about animals and plants under the transdisciplinary K1
theme “Animals and Plants Around Us.” In this theme, the teachers sent the
soil, pot, and spinach seeds, so we were able to do the planting activities
together virtually. Some students enjoyed playing with the soil, and some
still tried to adapt to the texture of the soil. The teachers also provided the
sprayer to water the plants every day. Spraying using a sprayer helped
students to develop their fine motor skills. Not only that, giving the
students the opportunity to plant the seeds allowed them to experience
how to take care of their plants.

In this theme, we also learned a lot about animals that can move in the air,
on the land, and in the water. K1 students learned about plants and
categorized the flowers and fruits. Although we needed to do the online-
based learning system because of the omicron virus, it did not stop us from
having fun together. The students showed their enthusiasm in creating the
animals and plants crafts. Doing these activities helped the students build
their imagination and fine motor skills.

We hope the condition will get better so the teachers and students can
meet again at our beloved Sekolah Bogor Raya.

K2 K2 students learned about farm animals under the theme,
"Sharing the Planet." We discussed the food and shelter of
the cow, sheep, and chicken. Although we did online
learning, we still had a great time and were very busy
learning new things.

To support the learning, on 27 January 2022, the students
had a classroom learning activity at school. They visited a
mini-farm field to see a chicken and its house. The
students had lots of fun and were excited to see the
chicken. They learned about the chicken's food and how to
take care of it. The following week, K2 students also had a
simple sharing session activity in front of their friends and
teachers about their favorite food made with the eggs. By
doing this activity, we believe that the students became
communicators who can express themselves confidently
and creatively in many ways.

It's amazing how much we have learned in such a short
time. We look forward to many more great weeks of
school ahead!

The end of term 3 has arrived. In this theme, K3 students learned about K3A-Watering the microgreens
“Sharing the Planet'' and focused on how to take care of the plants.

K3 students had the opportunity to enhance their sense of
responsibility and learned to be caring individuals through the planting
activity. They planted microgreens and learned the plant growth stages,
from seed, sprout, seedling until they grew into plants. They also
learned to manage their time and tasks effectively in taking care of
their microgreens by putting the plants under the sunlight, watering
them regularly, and filling in the Plant Growth Checklist Journal.

living things change as they grow under the theme of
“How the World Works.” Students were being
inquirers as they show curiosity towards living things
around them.

They asked questions related to humans, plants, and
animals. Other students were actively answering their
friends’ questions. Students and teachers did a virtual
trip to Butterfly Park where we saw the growth stages
of butterflies starting from egg, caterpillar, cocoon, and
butterfly. Students were amazed by the number of
cocoons they saw in the Butterfly Park. It was a
remarkable moment as students gained new
knowledge about butterflies from the trip.

Prep C - Pet Day Students learned to be caring by planting morning
glory at home. Every day, students observed the
growth of their plants and recorded it on the
observation sheet. After four weeks, students and
teachers harvested the morning glory together and
served it as a healthy food.

Students also had a special day of showing their pet
at home and sharing how they become responsible
by taking care of their pet, such as giving them food,
water, and playing with them.
It was great to see the wonderful journey students
had in this theme so far. We are excited to embrace
more activities ahead!

Finally, it’s a wrap for the SBR PYPX Virtual Exhibition on February 23-
24, 2022. We celebrated together with the grade 6 learning adventures
under the theme, Who We Are. This academic year’s exhibition carries a
theme related to one's own uniqueness. Through the central idea,
“Celebrating Uniqueness as a Way to Appreciate Life”, grade 6 students
have learned to explore and understand who they really are. Grade 6
students experienced a process of coming to understand what is 'unique'
to them as well as concerns that arise from their uniqueness. Through the
exhibition, teachers and learners alike became more honest with
themselves, learned ways to tackle difficult situations and welcome the
challenges that come with being introspective.

RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS
Embracing Kindness

People notice that February is the month of love and kindness. The time to
show love and kindness to everyone around us; Such as family, friends, teachers,
or other people.

There are many amazing people out there who love to spread kindness all
around the world. One of them is Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa said “Spread
love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.”
So what does this quote mean? It means that each of us has a wish or mission to
spread love and kindness, make everyone who meets us happier, and have more
beautiful hopes.

We do not have to think of something fancy or big if we want to be kind to
others. We can smile, say hi, or ask about their condition. These are some of
the simplest ways to show kindness to everyone. All those acts of kindness
can cultivate feelings of kindness and brighten up someone’s day. Every small
act of kindness is significant. It may seem like it doesn’t accomplish much but,
just like the domino effect, one act of kindness can lead to more positive
outcomes.

One of Sekolah Bogor Raya’s values is empathy. We all celebrated this month as the month of Random Acts
of Kindness (RAK). It's a way to show our love, empathy and thankfulness for people around us who bring
color to our lives and share it with others. Students in Sekolah Bogor Raya have shown kindness to their
friends and others. We can’t wait to see more action shown by Sekolah Bogor Raya Community in sharing
kindness with everyone.
Random Acts of Kindness Day may not have been around for a very long time, but kindness has existed
throughout human history. Various studies have also proved that kindness is undoubtedly a basic part of
nature, with feelings of care developing in humans while they’re still babies. We can uplift others with
compliments and compassion on this day.
Remember, kindness matters! (RNA)

STUDENTS MEET THE EXPERTS

Meet Bogor Runner Community and
SBR Primary School Leaders

Grade 2 students got a wonderful opportunity to meet some experts and talk about the community around
them. They were very pleased to have two expert visit sessions in which they could enrich their understanding
of services needed to support a community and how the roles of the members enrich the community.

Meet Bogor Runner Community and SBR Community On 20 January 2022, we had Ibu Sara Lea Tunas, Ibu
Bogor Runner Community activities Annisa M. Ummah and Ibu Sandra Aprillia. They are
the official officers of the Bogor Runners Community.
Bogor Runner Community is one of the well-known
communities in Bogor. They shared how this
community consists of different people of all ages and
professions that share the same passion: “RUNNING”.
They also shared some activities that this community
held before and during the pandemic. Grade 2
students were amazed to learn from Ibu Sara Lea that
Bogor Runner Community also has some professional
runners who teach the members to run properly.

Then, on 23 January 2022, our second graders got a
wonderful opportunity to meet and chat with SBR
Primary School Leaders: Ibu Henny Anggraeni, Ibu
Diana Puspa Karitas, and Ibu Ria Nur Apriliyanti.
Grade 2 students had fun with the primary level
principal and vice-principals of SBR! In this session,
our beloved Grade 2 students got so much
information about the history of the school, the
members, and how each member supports the
community.

At the end of each session, we had questions and
answers about the topic being delivered by the
experts. The students showed their excitement for
the presentation by asking lots of interesting
questions to our experts. Overall it was amazing!

“Bye Bye Plastic Bag”

The Grade 4 students had some very special guests to support our theme 4, Sharing The Planet. Our guests
were secondary students who created a group called Bye Bye Plastic Bag. This organization was originally
formed in Bali by two sisters, Melati and Isabel, to raise awareness about the importance of reducing single-use
plastic bags. The secondary students in Sekolah Bogor Raya were also aware that our school needed to be
encouraged to reduce the use of plastic bags.

The “big brothers and sisters” from secondary school Visit from Bye Bye Plastic Bag
were eager to share their experiences in doing campaigns
to spread awareness, to persuade their classmates to use
recycled shopping bags and to speak up and be the voice
of change in their communities.

The Grade 4 students asked for advice on how to reduce
single-use plastic bags, to find alternatives in finding
recycled plastic bags, and to influence others to care
more about the environment. It was a great opportunity
to share experiences, give ideas, and inspire each other to
be environmentally friendly, after all, we only have one
planet earth to live on. (YK).

The Young

Young, passionate, and inspiring. Those are the words that best describe the guest speaker for the Grade 5
sharing session on Friday 4th February 2022. Grade 5 students were very fortunate to have Kak Nala as the
guest speaker as she was very influential and knowledgeable when delivering the session. This 1-hour
session was fun, enlightening, and uplifting.
Since childhood, Kak Nala has demonstrated a genuine interest in the environment. Her curiosity and
passion led her to create a youth-led organization, Green Welfare Indonesia.

some tips on how to run a big organization and
how to solve any potential problems. Her tips
covered topics such as providing inspiration,

better place. Despite the fact that Covid-19 has struck
our nation, Green Welfare Indonesia has successfully
held a few small events, such as a webinar,
GWFestival, TEDx Green Welfare, and many more.

Surely, this session has inspired Grade 5 students to
be the future agents of change. Kak Nala told students
that out there, there are many teenagers who have
taken simple steps to save mother nature. As Grade 5
students, they can start doing simple things within
their own family community. She told us that good

We entered the month of kindness, which is February.
This month, we celebrate the RAK (Random Act of
Kindness). Grade 1 students were excited to celebrate
this event. During circle time, they read a book and
watched videos that showed kindness not only to
other people but also to all things that live such as
animals and plants. Many ideas about kindness came
from the students. They explained kindness in their
opinion; some of them said kindness is to treat people
nicely the way you want to be treated. The other
students said kindness is to respect others, helping
others. They also made a kindness card and wrote the
act of kindness they can do for family, friends, and
people around them.

In PPKn lessons, grade 1 students also learned about
kindness such as how to respect and be kind to the
garbage collector. They watched the videos and
discussed the importance of the garbage collector in
our daily life. Some students said, “Kalo ga ada tukang

wrote their ideas about the action they can do to
respect garbage collectors in the Jamboard
application. They also shared their experiences in
showing kindness to the garbage collector. One
student said, “Aku sama Mami biasanya kasih

Show Your Kindness, Spread The Love

People say that February is the month of love and a month of kindness; Love Show your kindness and spread the love (1)
and kindness for yourself and others. Spreading love and kindness doesn’t
always have to be a grand gesture. There are many opportunities to spread
love and kindness each day. For our second graders, love is magic and it is
simple to spread love to others. For them, showing our kindness to others
means that we share the love. “Just be kind, like smile, say good morning,
help our friends or parents, play with our pets …” said Leanka.

Kindness is in the air!

There is a quote: “Kindness costs nothing, but means

something underrated. However, kindness is the one thing
that can make our world a better place to live in. Along with
that, our school is embracing the spirit of kindness by doing
the Random Act of Kindness (RAK) program this month. As we
know, February is the month for self-love and self-care, the
month for fostering relationships with family and friends, and
caring more about others. Therefore, we want this month to
be a special moment for the children to develop their sense of

“Be Kind to Yourself, You are Worthy to Love and be Loved“

February is often known for being a month dedicated to and all about love. But February is not only about
valentines, flowers, and chocolates. It can also be a month for kindness, self-love, and self-care, fostering
relationships with family and friends, and loving others. In Primary, we called it the month of Random Act of
Kindness. What is kindness and how do we teach it? We can easily look up the definition of kindness, but the
meaning of kindness goes far beyond just that. Kindness is a kind act, a quality of being warm-hearted.
Kindness can mean different things to different people. We choose how to show it through our acts that are
filled with empathy, acceptance, kind gestures, and thoughtfulness.

Keep calm, smile and be kind

Kindness is contagious. It is a chain reaction. In this month of preparing our Exhibition, we have chosen our
best way to act it out, by being kind to ourselves first. We have learned how to fully accept mistakes and our
weaknesses while we were trying to execute our Exhibition learning journey. Lots of things had happened. It
might have made us distressed and overwhelmed, but we did realize that every journey is a roller coaster ride.
It is the rise and fall that define our journey, which is both scary and exciting at the same time. So, we are
thankful this February that we have finally accomplished one of the main journeys as Primary students. It
reminds us of this, “Be kind to yourself, you are doing the best you can.” (WA)

The Association of National and Private Schools (ANPS) 2022

A continuous drive to reflect on and improve one’s teaching practice is the hallmark of a good teacher, and to
provide the opportunity and space for such reflection and growth is the hallmark of a good school community.
To keep an atmosphere of introspection and innovation alive, it is important to ensure that teachers can meet
each other to share ideas and to collaborate through an appropriate forum. The Association of National and

profound impact on local communities worldwide. Their vision serves
to build strength, stability, and self-reliance globally. We are fortunate
to have Habitat for Humanity here in Indonesia, as their goals are
fundamentally moving.

Sustainable Cities and Communities
Gender Equality

Education

This term, we have been working on an important pillar; Education.
Our student leadership committee has brainstormed several great
ideas, a possible collaboration with Mobil Pintar in donating high
quality used books to the local community around us. This will serve as
an introductory project to meet the needs of education to those who
are less fortunate.

Words from our Vice-President ; Rakyan

I am excited to be part of Habitat for Humanity for the second semester this academic year.
I have brainstormed a few ideas on how we can raise funding for this project.

Gaming Competitions (ROBLOX, PUBG, among other fun games)
Compiling used textbooks or novels to be distributed to the community around (DropBox)
SEMBAKO Project ; distribution to those who are less fortunate
Hand Sanitizers for all

I look forward to conceptualizing these projects this semester with the help of my classmates and our
supervisor Pak Matthew. With Guidance from Ibu Selly from Habitat for Humanity Indonesia. I hope that
these funds will improve the standard of living and quality of life for the local community around us. (MR &

DRAMA CLUB

Drama club is a club for students who are drama enthusiasts, whether it be watching, or being in one. In
Semester 1, Drama Club members had lengthy discussions revolving around different movies and series. The
students watched two movies and continued to discuss what they thought was interesting about the
plotline, the acting, as well as costume and set design.

A lot of the discussion was about how effectively the actor or actress had delivered their lines, and if they
conveyed the message as intended. It was interesting to see the differences across acting methods and
scenarios in Asian dramas and Western dramas, which made the students enjoy it even more.

After observing other actors, the students then tried out the techniques they
observed on their own. Drama club students tried out several scenes from the
2004 movie, Mean Girls, and were able to explore different perspectives, both
from the antagonists and protagonists.

The results of the observation and exploration
prompted the members to have an idea of a drama
of their own, if they were to be given the chance to
make one. Together, the drama club members
thought of plotlines, characters, as well as costume
and set for their own drama; which was a murder-
mystery drama. In doing this, they were able to try
out being in a producer or a director’s position.

Throughout the first semester, the Drama Club members
were able to explore different areas of dramas, as well as
foster strong bonds that would be sure to last a lifetime
(AM).

MUSIC CLUB

From pianists, to drummers, Music Club has gathered SBR
students with their music talents, to hone their music skills and
share their talent on our social media. To help us achieve our
main objective of helping the students to become more
confident and collaborative when doing song covers, we have
decided to divide the entire academic year into 2 sessions,
where during 2 terms, the students will make solo covers and
the other 2 terms do collaborative covers.

The covers will then be posted on our social media account
@musicclubsbr (Don’t forget to follow our instagram!
@musicclubsbr). After posting, we will then reflect on our posts
and comment on the other members’ performance. This action
will not only help the members to be confident in sharing their
opinion during the meeting session, but will also help the
performer to accept their flaws and be better in the next cover.
Some audience members from our account may request songs,
and we will always try our best to give what they request, since
we know an audience’s loyalty cannot be taken for granted.

As the head of the club, I myself, Valentine, am grateful when looking
at how much the members have contributed to make the music club
grow since the first term. Honing my leadership skills is of course a
lesson I got from becoming the head, but more importantly, I have
learned how to deal with members who need more pressure to submit
their work on time. I have also learned how to be a comforting leader,
yet, a leader whose decision should also be heard seriously.

Student Leadership Club

BENEVOLENCE CLUB

The Benevolence Club is an SLC (Student Leadership Club), created in the
academic year of 2021 - 2022. The word ‘benevolence’ itself means ‘kebajikan’ or
good deeds. So, we would like to bring kebajikan or good deeds, especially to
people with disabilities. Why people with disabilities? We acknowledge that in
our society, people with disabilities, most of the time, do not get the same rights
as everyone else. The rights for being treated and getting opportunities equally.
So, our club has the vision of promoting the principle that everyone is entitled to
equal treatment and opportunities. The mission of this club is to spread
awareness of the meaning of the word ‘kebajikan’, by building friendship and
collaboration and creating meaningful and happy life experiences with them.

Since the beginning of this club, we have conducted several activities that
support the vision and mission. Last term, we conducted a frequent
meeting with a wheelchair basketball athlete and motivator, named Andre
Genta Senjaya, who is now studying for his Master's Degree in Psychology
at Tarumanagara University. Our frequent meetings with Andre Genta
Sanjaya have been memorable, yet knowledgeable. Having a frequent
meeting with Andre has changed our perspective in understanding the
meaning of the word ‘benevolence.’ It is not only us who bring ‘kebajikan’
to people with disabilities, they bring it to us as well. We learn from them
that our limitations may not hinder our dreams.

We realize that in order to build meaningful friendship and collaboration with the disabled, we need to equip
our members with the skills and knowledge needed. We started term 3 with “Learn with Benevolence.” We
discussed different kinds of disabilities and tried to get more information about how to communicate and to
work with them. Especially for understanding “tunawicara” or speech impaired. We are now in the process of
learning about BISINDO or Indonesian sign language. By the end of this term, we expect ourselves to be able
to create simple sentences using Indonesian sign language. As one of the upcoming events, we plan to invite
resource persons of BISINDO, and we will invite other students to the webinar. We will also explore more
about the other kinds of disabilities: ‘tuna netra’ , ‘tuna daksa’, ‘tuna grahita’ etc.

One year of experience in joining Benevolence is a good
opportunity for us to enter the plural world, where not
only perfect people live and how those people show
their persistence and perseverance to reach their
dreams. It is only a little step for our school to embrace
inclusivity. It is a little support for our school to be an
inclusive school, one day.

DAY OF COMPASSION, 2022

On the 14th of February, one of the most awaited events held in
school every year, known as the Day of Compassion, was
wonderfully carried out by SBR’s Student Council. The Day of
Compassion is a day to honor and show our gratitude to our
loved ones. The best way to appreciate bonds and give back to
those who have been helping and guiding us, is through small
gestures like giving gifts. Therefore, through 2022’s Day of
Compassion, the Student Council celebrated, and SBR’s
community was "reunited" by encouraging acts of appreciation,
acknowledgment, love, and compassion.

This event was initially planned to be done offline. However, due
to the unexpected nature of the pandemic, which worsened and
caused the online learning system to reoccur, sudden changes
were made so that the act of kindness could still be done. The
Student Council finally settled on a decision to transition the
occurrence of the event from offline to online, and the gifts
would be delivered to the receivers.

We proudly announce that the SBR
Student Council received more
than 200 orders. In collaboration
with SBR Best Buddies, the Student
Council decided to donate the
profit that accumulated to Sekolah
Luar Biasa Dharmawanita, in hopes
that it will be useful for our friends
that are outside of the SBR
community (JL).

Sekolah Bogor Raya Hosts Harvard Student Agencies
Model United Nations Indonesia 2022

This February 12-13, Harvard Student Agencies (HSA) held the Model United Nations (MUN) Indonesia 2022
conference, and the event was proudly hosted by Sekolah Bogor Raya (SBR). In collaboration with Learn with
Leaders (LwL), Sekolah Bogor Raya diligently worked to organize and implement the prestigious HSAMUN
Indonesia 2022 event which featured participating students from across 6 continents. Model United Nations
gives students an opportunity to practice their skills in public speaking, negotiation, and problem-solving in a
formal and diplomatic format dealing with real-world issues that affect large populations across the world.
Alongside the large, diverse group of student participants, SBR made a strong show of participation with a team
of 18 talented students.

As the Model United Nations mimics the eminent United Nations, this event
featured several committees and councils, such as the World Health
Organization (WHO), the United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC),
and the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC), each of
which had their own pressing local and global issues for which to discuss and
attempt to reach practical solutions.

From tackling a refugee crisis in Western Sahara and addressing the issue of systemic discrimination against the
LGBTQ+ community to proposing resolutions to carbon emission induced climate change and meeting head-on
the dilemma of COVID-19 vaccine distribution in the face of vaccine nationalism and public health
misinformation, our own young Bogorians worked with students from the USA, Brazil, Germany, India,
Australia, and Cameroun among many others in a series of meetings over the span of 2 days in an effort
critically think and debate the difficulties and reach a consensus on how to help people and nations affected by
each crisis.

With the formation of Sekolah Bogor Raya’s new International Programs
Coordinator role headed by Mr Chris England, the school hopes to
continue to bring about opportunities for its students to participate and
compete in international events and competitions that afford them the
chance to develop their global citizenship qualities. SBR believes
education is much more than just academics.

With its dedication to the holistic development of its
students, experiences like Model United Nations
events as well as providing access for SBR pupils to
participate in international workshops focused on
STEM fields, music and the arts, and college-
preparatory seminars among others, SBR is paving the
way for the youth of Bogor to be the leaders of
tomorrow that our world desperately needs. Sekolah
Bogor Raya holds dear its motto “Learning together,
inspiring success”, and you can expect much more in
the future to demonstrate that.

LEARNING TOGETHER WITH AN SBR STUDENT

Alief Jan, van der Sluis (Alief) was born on August 15th, 2010 and is
currently a student in Grade 6 of Sekolah Bogor Raya. He has been
an SBR student since Playgroup in 2012. He likes swimming, playing
soccer and reading.

One of his most memorable experiences with teachers and friends is
when he joined the SBR camping trip. It was fun to feel confident in
doing things by himself and following the routines given by the
teachers or the event organizer. His other memorable experience
was when he and his team won the soccer competitions. He feels
that winning a soccer competition is like when you earn a high
achievement together with your team as a result from exercising,
learning about strategies and placing your high efforts to achieve a
team’s goal.

Alief is one of our students who has shown great
achievements in his studies, and also in his activities at
competitions. Below is the list of his achievements in
winning competitions:

Alief said that the tips for
showing your best in
competitions are:

1.Focus on one thing at a time.
2.Follow the training given by

instructors.
3.Sleeping enough, eating well.

It is important to focus and
follow the instructions given by
the teachers, coach and the
trainers; however we also need
to pay attention to our health.
This is important to make
ourselves ready and have better
enthusiasm when facing
competitions.

LEARNING TOGETHER WITH AN SBR TEACHER

Ibu Inggrid Fitria E. A (Inggrid) was born on
August 25th. She got her Bachelor's degree from
Pelita Bangsa and is currently studying in
Universitas Terbuka, majoring in Early
Childhood Education.

She has been an SBR teacher since 2003, where
she started as a Playgroup teacher and currently
she teaches Prep students at the Kindergarten
level.

According to her, being a Playgroup and
Kindergarten (PG-K) teacher is something that
should be filled with fun, where we need to spark
positive energy from morning until afternoon.
That is why most people say that Kindergarten
teachers mostly look younger than their age :-).
They are happy and cheerful. "I, myself, really
enjoy teaching PG-K, it boosts my confidence,
creativity and positive energy everyday."

The challenge in this digital era and this Covid-19
pandemic is when you need to teach and prepare
all the teaching resources digitally, while we are
busy with the COVID 19 issues as well.

She said, as a teacher, we need to be ready in all
conditions; and in Sekolah Bogor Raya, we learn
and grow together to face this digital era and
support each other to deal with the pandemic.
She is glad that teachers in PG-K are creative
and supportive; we love to explore different
ways in teaching and also different resources to
make the virtual lessons still engaging and
meaningful for everyone. For her, each year of
the teaching process and the students
themselves are the unforgettable things.

Ibu Inggrid’s motto is “Do your best and God will
do the rest”.
