Federalism- Federalism is the system of a government and how it operates.
Separation of powers- The action or state of moving or being moved apart. In this case the separation of the Executive,
Legislative, and Judicial branch being separated into different bodies.
Checks and balances- Counterbalancing influences by which an organization or system is regulated, typically those
ensuring that political power is not concentrated in the hands of individuals or groups.

Limited government- A government is whichones legalized force and power is restricted. This can cause usually
countries with limited government to have fewer laws about what people can and cannot do.
Popular sovereignty - the belief that the authority and government of a state is created by the will of the people.
