Balance
The distribution of the visual weight of objects, colors, textures, and space.
Rhythm
When one or more elements are used repeatedly and give a sense of
organization.
Unity
The feeling of harmony between all parts of the art.
Contrast
The arrangement of opposite elements in a piece of art in order to create
visual interest. Such elements can include color, texture, and shapes.
Proportion
The feeling of unity when all shapes sizes are related to each other.
Emphasis
The part on the design that grabs the readers attention the most.
