deepavalI Charity visit
Spreading Deepavali Joy
When celebrating any festive occasion, it’s only right that we
remember the less fortunate – and it’s this philosophy that has
seen KPGCC continuously embark on Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) activities over the years.
On the morning of October 26, less than two weeks before
Deepavali, management and staff of KPGCC joined their
counterparts from Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club, Botanic
Resort Club and Jade Hills Resort Club in paying a visit to the Sri
Sai Welfare Home in Klang. The home has been operating for five
years and houses 35 orphans and other underprivileged children
aged between one and 18.
In addition to providing the home with a wish-list of daily
necessities, the quad-club contingent also helped paint the
building foyer and took part in a kolam-decorating session with
the children. The children’s faces beamed with smiles as they
were presented with ang-pows, hampers and goodie bags.
“It is indeed gratifying to have the opportunity to bring some
cheer to the less fortunate, especially during festive occasions
like Deepavali,” said KPGCC Director Tang Meng Loon.
The visit ended with a sumptuous lunch and fond farewells
from the home’s management and residents.
