Last holiday, Pei Ling and her family visited China. They took a flight
there early in the morning.
On the first day, Pei Ling's parents took her to the Forbidden City. It was
located in Beijing, the capital of the country. They were taken aback by
the beauty and size of the palace.
The palace was the home to emperors of the Ming dynasty to the end
of the Qing dynasty. It was constructed from 1406 to 1420, consisting of
980 buildings.
In 1925, the palace was used to display artifacts and art pieces. Since
then, the Palace Museum had been operated there. Pei Ling saw a lot of
paintings, ceramics, bronze ware and timepieces there.
