Geography

One new place that I visited this summer was Las Vegas,
Nevada. The word I would use to describe this place is alive. When I
first got there I was really excited for the adventure that I was going to
have here, but at the same time I was irritated. I was irritated because
it was super hot and I’m used to the cool weather in Carson. We went
exploring at night since it would be a little bit better. When we got to
the main part of Vegas, everything was lit up. It was cool to see all the
tall buildings shining. All the stores were very nice as well, especially
because they all had air conditioning. Overall, exploring Las Vegas
was fun and was very exciting.

Religion

My religion is Christianity. I go to church every sunday and I
would describe it as uplifting. Going to church helps me forget most of
things I’m stressing about. My church is very welcoming towards
everyone, especially the guests. We try to make them feel
comfortable so that we could get along and pray in peace. My church
is a very good influence towards the youth. They show us what
praising should look like. Every Sunday with my church is holy.

Accomplishments

An invention that has affected my life is the cellphone. Without my
cellphone, it would be harder to communicate from afar. Also you can
get apps and games to entertain you when you’re bored. The way it
has improved my life is by keeping me from being lost. It helps me
find my way to places as well. The phone helps me miss people less
because I’m able to talk to them whenever I want, as long as they
answer.

Political Systems

When I was little, the rules weren’t strict. All I had to do was to
not break anything and to sleep at my bedtime. Now, the rules are
strict. I would have to wash the dishes, mop the floor, etc. When I was
little I enjoyed doing dishes and always insisted on doing them, but
now I dread washing them. If I broke a rule when I was little, I would
hear a simple “Just don’t do it next time.” Now I would be grounded or
my parents would not speak to me until I finally learn my lesson.

Economics

I don’t have many household chore, but 2 of them are washing
dishes and cleaning my room. Washing dishes is something I do only
sometimes since my family members switch it off. As far as cleaning
my room, I do it all the time because it’s my job. The room isn’t
always clean because my definition of clean is just having to put
things to the side. I actually do not get allowance which is fine by me
because I want to make money myself. In the future I hope to be a
nurse that is paid well. I want this job because I would be able to take
care and make people feel a little bit better. Another reason I want to
be a nurse is because my parents will get old like everyone else and I
want to be there for them like how they were for me.

Social Structure

My family is caring. I have 2 other siblings who are guys. The
oldest is Aaron and the 2nd oldest is my brother John. My mom’s
name is Rosalea and my dad’s name is Noel. My is very hardworking,
but mostly my parents. They put our family first all the time. I have a
cousin names Ira who is like my sister. She is in her 20’s and she
takes me everywhere. She is also very trustable, so I tell her
everything. As a family we like to go out and eat food. We like to try
new things all the time. (My cousin Ira is not in this picture, but this
was the closest family picture I could find) I am the baby that my mom
is holding up. (closer to the left) My grandma and grandpa are no
longer here but my uncles and aunts still are.
