Did you know that toucans have very large beaks and colorful
feathers? And they range in size and the smallest bird are 12
inches. When they are born they have small beaks. When they
are born they have small wings. When they start growing their
wings start getting larger. But the largest toucans grow up to 25
inches.

Can you imagine that toucans are tropical birds?
Toucans live in Central and south America. Toucans
do not fly much. They hop from branch to branch.
When it is night toucans nest in tree holes. The holes
are dug by woodpeckers.

Did you know That toucans eat insects and frogs?
They also have strong beaks to help them get their
food. They fly to get their food and they’re really
smart. The mom toucans open the baby bird’s
mouths to give them food.

eggs? When they are about to hatch the babies bird
have small beaks. The babies hatch after about 17
