With this article, I will prove that the concept of carpe diem goes against the principles of living set

how the attempt of a young man to seize an idealized perception of being prominent and wealthy
can go wrong, because despite reaching his desired level of richness, he realizes that what he
ambitioned so much was nothing but an illusion. At the end I will show that carpe diem goes against
the principles set forth in the bible. I will accomplish this by comparing the negation of eternity, lack
of faith, as well as the constant desire to be immersed in the sinful pleasures of life with passages
found in the books of Ecclesiastes and Revelations. I will also include important points made by
Christian philosopher Kierkegaard.
