Conclusion

Phulkari a very old craft revived from the verge of extinction and emerging as a luxurious commercial product from solely
domestic craft.
Due to commercialization, mass production, and mainstream influence Phulkari went through many changes in its designs
and material quality, designs are now simplified to save time and money. Simultaneously machine-made Phulkari appeared
as a low-cost affordable alternative to support the market demand.
Phulkari has been reinvented again and again with the changing society but the essence of this unique and beautiful craft is
still there, the the only difference is that it now becomes the source of income and independence for its makers.

Ans: Yes

Ans: Around 20-25 years
3. Do you practice any other activity/craft apart from Phulkari?
Ans: No
4. What type of designs are you currently working on?
Ans: Flowers and leaves mostly
5. From where do you find the designs you work on?
Ans: They are previously traced.

Market Information

1. During which month the demand for this craft is high?
Ans: Around wedding month.
2. How do you decide the price for the product you made?
Ans: Based on work done on dupatta.
3. How do you sell your work in the market?
Ans: Through government and craft fair.
4. Have you faced difficulties while selling the product?
Ans: Yes, sometimes customers find the dupatta costly according to work.
10. Where do you procure raw materials from?
Ans: From local market only.
