In a village, named Peraya, there were three young
men, Chris, Mark, and Peter. They are very close.

One day, Chris planned to go camping with his
friends. The next morning, they were getting ready

at Chris’s house. They brought a lot of food and
drinks. They camped in the jungle, 8 kilometers
away from Chris’s house. When they arrived at the
campsite, they directly put up their tent. They felt

very happy.

The next morning, they went to the river to take
their bath. While Chris and Peter were taking their
bath, Mark was catching fish using a rod. He caught

a lot of fish and he planned to put his catch near
their tent. On his way there, he heard a scream.
Mark ran towards the sound and to his surprise,

that scream came from his neighbour’s son,
Thomas. Apparently, Thomas had sprained his
ankle because he accidentally stepped on a root.

Mark directly helped him to stand up.

Help !

3

Mark and Thomas were trying to get help from the
villagers. After various attempts of getting out of the

jungle, they realized that they had been walking
around in a circle. They tried various ways to find
help but nothing works. They felt like giving up.
Chris and Peter who were still waiting for Mark by
the river were getting worried because Mark had
been gone for a long time. They decided to look for
him but he was nowhere to be found. It was getting
dark and they decided to look for help from the

villagers.

Chris and Peter went to seek help from Uncle Bob,
the village head. Aunt Mary, Thomas’s mother was

at Uncle Bob’s house too. She told them that
Thomas had gone hunting in the jungle and he had
been gone for a long time. Uncle Bob gathered all
the villagers and begin their rescue for Mark and
Thomas. After an hour, they finally found the two of
them. Mark and Thomas were happy to finally get
out of the jungle and reunited with their friends and
family. They thanked the villagers who were willing
to look for them even though it was dark at the time

they were found.
